Different Dimension Fall 2015 Falling In Love Collection Swatches & Review

Hey there! Ready for another Fall collection? The one I have to show you today is called Falling In Love from indie brand Different Dimension. These are all super rich shades of the fall season in beautiful linear holographic finishes. Onward!

You Blue It is an intense navy blue linear holographic with added shimmers. The formula was very easy to work with and this was opaque in two coats.
Different Dimension You Blue It

Let Your Gourd Down is giving me life, I can't even tell you. It's a burnt orange linear holographic with added shimmers. When I saw this I automatically thought "pumpkin spice holo"! It was basically opaque in one coat, but the second layer gives it a bit of a deeper color.
Different Dimension Let Your Gourd Down

Love You A Latte is a soft latte brown linear holographic with added shimmers. This was on the thinner side, but not runny which was nice. Two coats for full opacity.
Different Dimension Love You A Latte

Leaf Me Alone is a light spring green linear holographic with added shimmers. This has the same thin formula as Latte, just as easy to work with too. I used two coats here.
Different Dimension Leaf Me Alone

I Lava You is a dark red berry linear holographic. The name makes me think of that Disney Pixar short "Lava" that was shown before the movie Inside Out, awww :) This was a little thicker and had a slightly more jelly-ish texture on the first coat, but the second coat went on super smooth and didn't feel as thick, possibly it liked sticking to itself better than my base coat? Two coats for this one as well.
Different Dimension I Lava You

Buttersweet Symphony is a linear holographic spicy mustard yellow with added shimmers and microglitters. In some lights it leans pretty green, looking more chartreuse. Effortless formula, opaque in two coats! I love the added bling of those glitters.
Different Dimension Buttersweet Symphony

A Raisin For Living is a deep inky indigo purple linear holographic. This one was slighty thicker but still easy to apply. Two coats on this one as well.
Different Dimension A Raisin For Living

You Light Up My Life is the only glitter topper in the collection, it has holographic shreds and microglitters in a holographic base. This is very dense, I used only one coat over Raisin and there was fabulous coverage. I love how it looks and I can't wait to wear this baby over more polishes!
Different Dimension You Light Up My Life

The Falling In Love collection will be released on Friday October 2, at 9pm EST for $12 per bottle at the Different Dimension website. Tell me what you think about these gorgeous holos! Which is your favorite? I have to give it to Let Your Gourd Down and Buttersweet Symphony for their uniqueness, but I really like them all! I will have Different Dimension's Halloween collection to show you soon, so stay tuned!

The All Holo's Eve 2015 Collaboration Trio - Cirque Colors, Lacquer Lust and Serum No. 5

Greetings dear friends! I know it's Monday again, but I have a feeling your week is going to be awesome! ;) I wanted to start off this week with a bang, showing you the new collaboration trio from indie brands Cirque Colors, Lacquer Lust and Serum No. 5 called All Holo's Eve! This limited edition gift set has three Halloween themed lacquers all with a sparkling holographic element.

Cirque Colors Coven is an indigo blurple jelly polish with an orange to green shimmer effect. This reminds me of their Kontiki collection, so if you missed out on those this one might quench your thirst for that finish. It's sheer on the 1st coat but builds up nicely. It's almost opaque on two coats but I used three for maximum coverage. Dries very shiny!
Cirque Colors Coven

Lacquer Lust Candy Corn and Unicorns is a silver holographic microglitter with metallic glitters in orange, yellow, white and black. This is quite the Halloween polish, it has traditional aspects but gives them a twist! It has a thicker consistency due to the dense glitter, but wasn't difficult to apply. I used two coats plus a shiny top coat.
Lacquer Lust Candy Corn and Unicorns

Serum No. 5 You're Boo-tiful is a mix of pink, purple, orange, and silver metallic glitters in varying sizes in a black jelly base. This glows in the dark, but I failed to get a good glow picture. It makes me sad, because this glows like whoa! A little thick, but pretty easy to manage. I applied three coats for full opacity. Dries matte and slightly textured due to the glow pigment so use a top coat for smoothness and shine.
Serum No. 5 You're Boo-tiful

This trio is launching on October 4th at all three brand's websites for $32. CirqueColors.com will launch at 12pm EST while SerumNo5.com and Lacquer-Lust.com will be launching at 12pm PST. What do you think? I think this is a fun and funky set that is perfect for the best season ever, Halloween!

SuperChic Lacquer Dreamology Collection Swatches & Review

Heeeeeyyy good lookin! Happy weekend :) Today I have the new SuperChic Lacquer Dreamology collection to show you! These are described as "power shades having fierce color depth with intense linear holographic effects" that are totally opaque in one coat!

They are highly saturated so there was a warning that they may cause staining, especially on porous nails. I used two coats of SuperChic Lacquer base coat Bring It On, formulated especially to prevent staining, and I didn't have any problems with these staining my nails. They still can stain your skin though, so be careful to pull straight down your nail with your remover soaked cotton ball when removing the polish to prevent this. These all had similar to basically identical formulas, and all truly were completely opaque in one coat!

Wake Me Up is a deep berry linear holographic.
SuperChic Lacquer Wake Me Up

Lucid Lala Land is an intense dreamy blue linear holographic.
SuperChic Lacquer Lucid Lala Land

R.E.M. is a black linear holographic. This was the only one that was a little different, it had a slightly thicker consistency.
SuperChic Lacquer R.E.M.

Realm of Erotica is a racy red linear holographic.
SuperChic Lacquer Realm of Erotica

40 Winks is an intense violet purple linear holographic.
SuperChic Lacquer 40 Winks

No Rest For the Wicked is a brilliant emerald green linear holographic.
SuperChic Lacquer No Rest For the Wicked

Also new to the SCL line up is Marvel-Star top coat. It's a "neon luminescent" UV reactive quick dry top coat. I already love their Marvel Liquid Macro quick dry top coat and this is a fun twist on that great product. It's smooth and thin and flows on to the nail nicely without flooding your cuticles. I wish I had a black light to test this out! I used this on all my swatches of these and it really made them pop, however I didn't realize until I finished my swatches that it gave a slight blue tint to a few of these colors, because I swatch in direct sunlight and there are UV rays in sunlight of course. The black, red and green all look slightly more blue toned than they do indoors with this top coat on.

You will be able to purchase these from the SuperChic Lacquer website and Etsy store on September 30th at 4pm PST for $10 each. What do you think of these sexy one coat wonders?? I am quite impressed with them! My favorite has to be Wake Me Up, I don't think I have an equal color in my collection. We'll talk to you again soon! I have some exciting things coming up :D

My Picks from the Delush Scream Supreme Collection Swatches & Review

Hey everyone! I'm back today with some gorgeously goulish polishes from the Scream Supreme collection that Delush Polish put out for last Halloween, inspired by the macabre anthology type TV show American Horror Story. I've recently become enamored with the show, so I had to grab some of the polishes! I picked up three, but there are seven colors in the collection.

A Night In the Asylum is named for my favorite season of the show so far, season 2 Asylum. It has a teal-y turquoise jelly base that gets deeper with every subsequent layer, holographic glitter in hexes and dots and large holographic circles. There is a bit of thickness that is typical of jelly polishes with larger glitters, so it takes thin coats and a little placement of the pieces for best results. I used three coats here with a thick layer of top coat. You could also layer one coat over a teal or black and get a more opaque look.
Delush Polish A Night In the Asylum

The Supreme is the title of AHS star Jessica Lange's character in season 3 Coven. She is the Supreme witch and this polish definitely fits that vibe, it's fierce! It has a dark blood-like burgundy purpley jelly base with metallic and iridescent glitters, mostly red but there are some blue and purpley bits in there. Excellent glitter payoff and easy to apply! I used three thin coats. This is darker indoors, in full sunlight the jelly base really gets illuminated.
Delush Polish The Supreme

Bitchcraft is also themed for season 3, it's the name of the first episode of Coven. It's a black jelly with squares, hexes and large holographic circles in shades of pink. I found the formula on this one to be the most thick so I tried to use very thin coats and it worked out well. This is three with a thick layer of top coat. You could layer this over a black crème too.
Delush Polish Bitchcraft

I purchased these three shades from Delush Polish for $8.95 each. I am lucky they were still available to buy, thanks for keeping these around until I learned about the amazingness of AHS, Adrianna! These are really fab Halloween polishes, I'm in rapture! What do you think of them?? Do you watch American Horror Story? The new season starts in October and Lady Gaga will be in it!

Ellagee Fire Made Flesh Collection Swatches & Review

Hey there cookie! Today I have a collection from Ellagee to show you, my first polishes from this indie brand. I saw them on my friend Jess's YouTube channel and I had to run to purchase them immediately, they're so gorgeous! It's the Fire Made Flesh collection of four shimmering polishes inspired by Game of Thrones' Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons. "For dragons are fire made flesh, and fire is power."

Mhysa is a smokey blue with a hint of teal full of shimmering blue/gold microflakies. I love this shade of blue, it's very flattering and perfect for fall. This had an easy formula, opaque in two coats and dries quickly.
Ellagee Mhysa

Zaldrizes is a pale goldy nude with shimmering gold microflakies. I found this a little thicker than the blue, but not overwhelmingly so. Also opaque in two coats. This is so radiant, it is like sprinkles of sunshine on a bare body climbing out of the ocean.
Ellagee Zaldrizes

Valad is a smokey olive to emerald shifting green with shimmering bronze microflakies. This one seemed more jelly-ish in consistency, the kind that can get gummy easily. I used thin coats and allowed more dry time in between layers for best results. Opaque in two coats. This is a great swampy halloween-y type shade, I love it!
Ellagee Valad

Dracarys is a blackened crimson to plum shifting red with shimmering red microflakies. I found this to be the easiest formula in the bunch, opaque in one coat but I did two here. Dries quite dull so I would suggest a glossy top coat to bring out the fabulous shimmer.
Ellagee Dracarys

I found that the brush for all of these was harder for me to use than others I'm used to. It's a wider, thicker one that is becoming increasingly used across multiple brands, but I found these in particular to be a little more stiff and inflexible, making it more difficult to angle around the curve of my cuticle, especially on my smaller pinky nail.

This collection can be purchased on the Ellagee website for $39.50 or you can purchase the colors separately for $11 per bottle. The first run of the collection featured little tarnished bronze talon rings that sit around the bottle handle, but they were out of stock when I bought mine. They are back, though available separately for $0.75 each.

What do you think of this shimmery quartet of dragon inspired polishes?? I want a dragon! And I look forward to trying more Ellagee polishes because these were great.

Fortune Cookie Soap Zombie Survival Kit Soap Box Review

New Fortune Cookie Soap!!! I'm quite beyond obsessed with this company and I fear that I will have to start wearing soap as clothes because I spend all my money on their goodies that soon I will have no more money for clothes and stuff. Oh my.

Their latest release was a limited edition (sold out now, sorry!) Halloween version of their soap box called the Zombie Survival Kit! This box of mini sized samplers was a $20 pre-order and they sold out very quickly. BUT there will be a launch with full size products this Friday, September 25 at 6pm CST on their website! I thought I'd show you the products from the box I purchased to get you ready for the launch!

So the theme is obviously Zombie invasion/apocalypse survival items. There are eight products in the box. I didn't get a good photo of the description card this time, so I'll put their narrative for each product. The box was decorated with "bloody" handprints and caution tape. I'm sure my post office workers have a funny idea about me already, but this probably pushed them over the edge :)

Liquid Courage - Perfume Oil: Desperate times call for desperate measures...bottoms up! Puffy clouds of cotton candy dripping with sticky raspberries, pineapples and wild watermelon, all wrapped in the soft embrace of night blooming flowers. - Smells like yummy fruity candy, I love it. (This had drippy wax all down the bottle, I wish I would've taken the photos before I ripped it off to open it, it was so cool!)

Safe Zone - Fortune Cookie Soap: Nowhere is safe anymore, fences can only keep them out for so long. Remember when life was "normal"? No zombies to worry about. No running for your life. Ahh the good ol' days when you could wake up to a stack of mouth watering hotcakes, topped with berries and cream. Yeah, me too. - Warm and comforting pancake scent with berries, so yummy. The cookie is dusted with mica and pigment, which was a bit messy for my taste though. Guess it's good this thing is made of soap huh ;)

Blood Transfusion - Body Wash: With the horrors of death and decay all around, keep yourself clean and infection free with your own personal supply of blood transfusion body wash - if that's even possible. Rock candy and bloated berries, with a smear of sticky bubble gum. - This smells kinda like cough syrup at first, but when I used it in the shower, that candy scent really came to life! Fabulous packaging.

Zombie Repellent - Room Spray: It may not work - but it's worth a try! Rotten apple flesh & mulled fruits decomposing on spicy cinnamon sticks, dusted with brown sugar, muted with black vanilla bean and warm oak. - Fall in a bottle!! I love this!

Weapon Of Choice - OCD Hand Sanitizer: Now's your chance to battle both germs AND zombies at the same time. A splash of white wine distilled with rotting peaches, and decayed citrus. I love to eat peaches, but the scent isn't for me. This smells exactly like what they say it does.

Rule #47 - Whipped Cream: Rule #47 - Always stay moisturized. Grotesque green apple flesh, oozing with blackened caramel. - This is an almost musky caramel apple scent, not too sweet and deeper than I expected. Lovely!

Airborn - Steam Me Up Scotty!: We're all infected - there's no escaping it. Rich, dark coffee swirled with thick caramel and melted chocolate. - This is my favorite scent in the box, yum!

Wound Repair - Salve: Yeeeah...good luck with that. Lace-like films of cool, white ice, drizzled with melted chocolate. To Use: apply to wounds (or cracked, dry knuckles and elbows as needed). - Peppermint patty scented balm? Mmmm yes!

Be sure to read my other posts on Fortune Cookie Soap to get more info on the company! If you are planning on ordering from them for the first time, you can get $5 off a minimum order of $30 using my referral link: http://r.sloyalty.com/r/u3Swp30VtTsE. (I only get points if you use the link, not moola ツ)

As I mentioned, this collection will go on sale Friday, September 25 at 6pm CST on their website: www.fortunecookiesoap.com. I'm not sure, but I think only these products in these scents will be available to purchase in full sizes at that time. What do you think of these cool bath & body products? How do you feel about zombies?? If you're worried, maybe these products will help you survive when Z Day comes!

GlitterDaze The Marie Antoinette Collection Swatches & Review

Hi everyone! Sorry it's been a few days since my last post, it's been a bad month for headaches for me. I suffer from chronic daily headaches and migraines, and different factors like the weather and stress can make things much worse at times. I am feeling better this weekend so I'm back!

Today I have the newest GlitterDaze collection to show you! This is The Marie Antoinette collection, inspired by the infamous queen of France from back around the time before the French Revolution. There are six milky crellys with multichrome metallic flakes.

Chemise A La Reine has an off-white crelly base with multicolored metallic color shifting flakes and a sprinkle of holographic shimmer. This went on very easily and dried quickly. I was surprised at how opaque it was in only two coats. I recommend a top coat as these don't dry particularly shiny.
GlitterDaze Chemise A La Reine

Off With Their Heads has a greenish browny grey base with shifting metallic flakes that turn from gold to pink to bronze, red/bronze shimmer and gold holographic shimmer. This one had some chunkier pieces of flakes than the first one, but was no different in application. Two coats.
GlitterDaze Off With Their Heads

Versailles has a lovely mint green crelly base with shifting multichrome flakes in green and blue tones with some holographic shimmer. This also had an easy formula, opaque in two coats.
GlitterDaze Versailles

Reign of Terror has a mauve pinky purple crelly base with purple shifting flakes that turn blue, gold and magenta as well as holographic shimmer. I feel like a broken record, but this has the same wonderful formula. Two coats.
GlitterDaze Reign of Terror

Louis is a pale cornflower blue crelly with multichrome metallic flakes that flash purple to blue, silver shimmer and holographic sparkles. Same great formula, two coats for full opacity.
GlitterDaze Louis

Eat Cake has a crelly base in a peachy pink nude tone with color shifting metallic flakes in pink/green/gold and gold holographic shimmer. Also great, also two coats. The brand mentions that this polish may cause light staining, though I swatched this without a base coat and wore it for a good twenty minutes or so and didn't notice anything. But please heed their warning and use a good coat of base or two.
GlitterDaze Eat Cake

These colors are stunning and they fit right into what I think of for the fashion at the time of Marie's life. These polishes were just a pleasure to put on, no fuss and super easy to work with. Maybe they won't be everyone's cup of tea, but they are really beautiful in person and very sparkly, it was difficult to show that in the photos. The Marie Antoinette collection is available now on the GlitterDaze website for $12 each. Tell me what you think of these, any favorites? I think Chemise and Louis are tied for mine!

OPI Fall 2015 Venice Collection Swatches & Review

The Fall OPI collection is here! It's called Venice and has twelve permanent colors OPI is adding to their core line and three limited edition lacquers. The romantic shades in the collection are inspired by Baroque period decadence. Since this is a long one, I'll jump right into the swatches!

Purple Palazzo Pants is a pastel lilac purple crème. A pretty great formula, two coats with no issues. A surprising color to come in a Fall collection!
OPI Purple Palazzo Pants

I Cannoli Wear OPI is a soft pale gray crème. I thought it was a white upon first look, but it's obviously a grey, especially when you put it next to a true white shade. This applied nicely for such a light color, only two coats.
OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI

Be There in a Prosecco is a pale slightly yellow beige crème. I felt like this one was more sheer than the other neutrals in the collection, maybe a little less pigmented. Three coats.
OPI Be There in a Prosecco

Tiramisu for Two is a soft tan buff crème. This is the only one I had a bit of trouble with, the formula felt both thick and thin to me which was weird and it didn't want to self-level at all. Three coats.
OPI Tiramisu for Two

A Great Opera-tunity is a described as a "lush melon". It reminds me of that one peachy skin tone crayon, and I actually quite like it. I needed three coats for this crème, but it wasn't difficult to apply.
OPI A Great Opera-tunity

Gelato on My Mind is a sweet, pale pool water blue. Slightly on the icy side, really beautiful. Surprising for Fall to say the least. A little patchy on the first two coats, I needed three for full coverage.
OPI Gelato on My Mind

Amore at the Grand Canal is a medium/deep blue toned red crème. Nothing special, but a lovely formula. This one was actually very shiny too, I think I forgot to put on top coat! Two coats.
OPI Amore at the Grand Canal

It’s a Piazza Cake is described as a "persimmon" crème. This one is so Fall to me, I love it! Like a tangy pumpkiny orange. Great formula, almost one coat, but I used two.
OPI It’s a Piazza Cake

O Suzi Mio is a deep eggplant purple crème. I've seen this color pop up in a few other collections this fall, but this sets itself apart by having a great opaque formula with no application issues. Two coats.
OPI O Suzi Mio

Gimme a Lido Kiss is a red shimmer with a bit of a violet flash. This had a lovely formula, almost opaque in one coat. I used two here.
OPI Gimme a Lido Kiss

My Gondola or Yours? is a black with a slight shimmer. Similar to the black we saw in the Mustang collection last year. This was a little thin but I didn't have any trouble with it. Two coats.
OPI My Gondola or Yours?

Worth a Pretty Penne is a shimmery warm copper foil. It looks like there is some silver mixed in with the copper to give this a melded look. This was basically opaque in one coat despite it's thin formula, but I used two coats. I like this polish, but don't love the color with my skin tone.
OPI Worth a Pretty Penne

These next three shades are limited edition.

Venice the Party? is a bold aqua blue turquoise metallic. Easy formula and just a bit of brushstrokes due to the metallic finish. Two coats.
OPI Venice the Party?

Baroque…But Still Shopping! is a slightly greenish-yellowy gold metallic (bordering on frosty) with cool gold hex glitters in different size. This went on easily, but was a little brushstrokey and gave me an uneven finish. I am not a fan of metallic bases with glitter in them, but this one isn't too terrible. I used two coats.
OPI Baroque…But Still Shopping!

It does look a lot different in lower lights so here is a photo of Baroque in the shade.
OPI Baroque…But Still Shopping!

St. Mark’s the Spot is a deep sapphire metallic. Very pretty and a great formula, opaque in two coats. This is another color we've seen one or two of in other fall collections though.
OPI St. Mark’s the Spot

These are available now at professional salons, Ulta, Sally Beauty Supply and other various retailers now for around $9.50. There are also gel versions available of most of the shades. What do you think of these colors? I really like almost all of them, even though this color range is quite varied and seems a little disjointed. Tell me your thoughts on OPI's Fall collection! What are your must have picks?
