Moo Moo's Signatures New Shades Swatches & Review

Happy end of Memorial Day weekend to everyone in the US! I spent the day with family, did you do anything fun? I have a few new colors from Singapore based indie brand Moo Moo's Signatures to show you today, so let's get to it!

Tomato Garden is a soft tomato-y red with subtle holo effect and a hint of turquoise shimmer, holo gold dust and gold flakies. This polish was thin, with kind of a metallic formula. Applied nicely, opaque in two coats. I love the look of this, very unique!
Moo Moo's Signatures Tomato Garden

Lilac Wool is a light lilac holographic with a subtle blend of tiny red flakies and sterling silver shimmer. This one also seemed metallic upon application, a tiny bit streaky. This was very close to being opaque in two coats but I needed three. Delicate and dainty!
Moo Moo's Signatures Lilac Wool

Dirty Bath is a muddy nude with subtle holo and black and copper holo hex, sterling silver shimmer and blue to pink shifting flakies. This was easy to apply but take care to let it dry between coats to prevent dragging. Two coats here. An unconventional color, but so fun!
Moo Moo's Signatures Dirty Bath

Exotic Foliage is an olive green crelly with coppery violet shimmer. This has a wonderful buttery formula, opaque in two coats. I loooove colors like this!
Moo Moo's Signatures Exotic Foliage

Rosy Aroma is a violet crelly with strong turquoise shimmer. It was a little runny so take care not to overload your brush. Almost a two coater but not quite, so I used three. I would still recommend this though because it's stunning.
Moo Moo's Signatures Rosy Aroma

These shades are all available now on the Moo Moo's Signatures website for 18-16 SGD (around $12-$13 in USD). Tell me what you think of these colors, I'd love to hear your thoughts on them!

Cupcake Polish Color4Nails Exclusive Duo Swatches & Review

Hey friends! I've got two new exclusive polishes from the Color4Nails website to share with you by Cupcake Polish! These both have beautiful inspiration collages that were used in the creation of the shades so I thought I'd include them!
Enchanted is an emerald holographic with pink and blue shimmers. I found this to be pretty thick, I had to take a little extra care to apply this evenly but it was worth it. This is stunning! Two coats.
Cupcake Polish Enchanted

Whimsy is a pinky lilac holographic with gold and purple shimmers. This was also a little thick, but easier to apply. Two coats for opacity. Thus freaked out my camera, I had to take a ton of pictures to get one that wasn't all blown out from the holo haha.
Cupcake Polish Whimsy

These two polishes are available on the Color4Nails website now for $14 each. There is a few codes out there for the website that you can get 10% off with, a quick google search will help you find one if you want to save some money. What do you think of these babes?

Glam Polish It's Only A Dream Alice Collection [Partial] Swatches & Review

Today I have a wonderful new collection from Australian indie brand Glam Polish inspired by Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland! There are nine shades total in the collection and I have six of them to show you today :)

A Place Called Wonderland has a bright magenta pink base with holographic pigment and holographic violet, lavender, bright pink and neon pink microglitter, with added shimmering glass flecks. Excellent formula, very opaque, two coats.
Glam Polish A Place Called Wonderland

Down That Rabbit Hole is a bright green with holographic pigment and holographic green, lime, and silver glitters with added shimmering glass flecks. The base on this one seemed slightly metallic to me, but that didn't change the application, which was also great. Two coats here.
Glam Polish Down That Rabbit Hole

You’re Entirely Bonkers has a subtle holographic base with iridescent glitter, pink, purple and green transparent glitter, with blue shimmer and purple glass flecks. I wore this on it's own but this awesome gal layered it over black and it looks amazing that way too. This seemed sheer on the first coat, but built up nicely. I used three coats for this swatch, but two was almost enough.
Glam Polish You're Entirely Bonkers

I Really Do Love That Hat has a bright coral base base with holographic pigment, neon pink, and silver holographic glitter with added shimmering glass flecks. This is totally my type of color, a little coral, a bit red, kinda pink, slightly orange. Great coverage, almost a one coater but I used two.
Glam Polish I Really Do Love That Hat

The Wrong Alice has a bright aqua blue base with holographic pigment, holographic ocean, sky blue, neon blue, and silver glitter with added shimmering glass flecks. The usual awesome formula from Glam Polish, perfect coverage in two coats.
Glam Polish The Wrong Alice

Six Impossible Things has a glassy holographic base with iridescent glitter, transparent pink glitters and shimmery pink glass flecks. This is another one you could layer, I bet it would look stunning over a pink. Applied very easily, surprisingly great coverage on just two coats. This is really gorgeous, way better in person than I could capture in a picture.
Glam Polish Six Impossible Things

The three remaining shades in the collection are as follows: The Best Futterwacken In All Of Witzend - holographic base with ultra holographic glitter and a rainbow mix of metallic and neon glitter; Liars! Cheats! Falsifiers! - holographic base with ultra holo glitter, red, white and black microglitter; A Crazy Mad Wonderful Idea - bright purple subtle holographic base with violet holo, bright pink holo, neon pink, and ultra holo glitter with shimmering glass flecks. My friend Ida has swatches of those ones on her blog now if you want to check them out! Lisa also has two of the ones I didn't get if you want to look at a few different swatches :)

This collection will be available for purchase on the Glam Polish website Friday, June 3rd at 2pm EST (US). What do you think of these shades? Are you a fan of Alice? I love the books and the original Disney cartoon, but the Tim Burton film isn't my favorite and idk if I'm going to watch the new one (but I probably will). However, I love and will always appreciate the genius of Tim Burton's artistry and visuals and think Glam Polish did an excellent job with these polishes. How about you?

Different Dimension Cosmologically Speaking Part 3 Swatches & Review

Hey guys! Today I have the Different Dimension Cosmologically Speaking Part 3 collection to show you! I have had these for a little while but haven't had time to get them swatched, because the weather has been utter crap, and then I broke some nails! So when I was able to fit them in to swatch, my nails were super nubs, and then the sun went away while I was in the middle of taking photos. But I persevered and figured you would rather see them on my shorty short nails rather than not at all, right? RIGHT!

The Cosmologically Speaking series has been done twice before from Different Dimension, each annually. I have lusted after the previous collections but sadly haven't gotten to try any until now. The shades for the series this year all have duochrome-y jewel tone bases with scattered holographic "sparks". Mine seem to be a bit chunky, but I have heard from other bloggers that this is not the case with the polishes being sent to buyers, so no worries on that. The chunks are probably the holo bits sticking together, so there was some texture even after a layer of top coat.

Houston, We Have a Problem has a magenta to purple base with flashes of hot pink with scattered holographic sparks. Great opacity, two coats.
Different Dimension Houston, We Have A Problem

SpaceX is a peach to pink with a strong pink flash and scattered holographic sparks. This has the heaviest amount of holographic bits, very blingy. I thought this would be more sheer, but I got full coverage in two coats!
Different Dimension SpaceX

International Space Station (ISS) is a medium teal with scattered holographic sparks. The duochrome in this one is not as strong but it's still there. Another two-coater.
Different Dimension International Space Station (ISS)

The Eagle Has Landed is a dark purple with strong copper shimmer and scattered holographic sparks. My favorite in the collection! Two coats.
Different Dimension The Eagle Has Landed

Hubble is a cobalt blue to light blue duochrome with scattered holographic sparks. Great opacity, almost a one coater but this is two.
Different Dimension Hubble

These are available on the Different Dimension website now for $10 each or $45 for the full collection. What do you think of these shades? I think they are outta this world! ;)

NCLA x Color4Nails Exclusive Lolanthe Swatch & Review

Hey cookies :) Today I have a polish to show you created with/for online nail polish stockist Color4Nails by NCLA! This shade is an exclusive to their store and it just launched for sale so I figured I better show it to you right away!

Lolanthe is inspired by the Greek name for the violet flower, so naturally it's a vibrant violet color, a linear holographic. There are sparks of pink there as well. This applied nicely, a little thin but easy to control. Opaque in two coats. The base color does change with a top coat though, so the first photo shows it without a top coat, a bit of a dustier, lighter purple.
NCLA x Color4Nails Lolanthe

And this photo is with top coat, turning the purple darker and slightly more blue toned. I like it both ways!
NCLA x Color4Nails Lolanthe // @kelliegonzoblog

Lolanthe is available now for $15 on the Color4Nails website. I don't have an affiliate code personally, but I know there are a lot of them out there if you want to look to try to get 10% off your order there. Let me know what you think of this! Have you tried NCLA before? I've only tried a few, but this one makes me want MORE!

Got Nail Care Intensive Cuticle Oil Review

Hey friends! Today I thought I would share a new nail care item I've been trying out for the last few weeks. Got Nail Care is made by JayLynn aka @gotnail on Instagram. I saw she was looking for testers for her new intensive cuticle oil formula so I threw my hat in the ring. You all know I can't live without cuticle oil and while I have my tried and true, ride or die favorites, I am always willing to try new things!

This formula is made up of: Jojoba, Olive Oil, Coconut, Avocado, Grapeseed, Apricot, Sunflower and Rice Bran oils. The only scent she is carrying this in right now is called Candy Splash and it is delicious! Very sweet and sugary but also kinda fruity? I'm not sure what the notes are but it smells incredible.

The tube holds 8 ml and has a small doe foot applicator. This is actually my first cuticle oil with a doe foot and I like it! After extensive testing (my bottle is half gone) I have found this oil to be incredibly moisturizing. It sinks in pretty fast, allowing me to use it at work throughout the day and not end up with a greasy keyboard.

You can purchase this oil on the Got Nail Care website for $8.00 or in a 10 ml rollerball dispenser for $10. Have you tried anything from Got Nail Care? How do you feel about cuticle oil in general? I know some people prefer balms or lotions, which I like too, but oil is seriously my jam. I'll be back with some more nail polish swatches soon!

Nine Zero Lacquer May 2016 and A Peculiar Star 2.0 Swatches & Review

Hey everyone! I've got the new Polish of the Month from Nine Zero Lacquer to show you today, and one bonus shade! Due to popular demand, the Polish of the Month shades will be available all year instead of just during their release month, yay!

May 2016 is a slightly teal aqua blue linear holographic with holographic silver microglitter added in for extra sparkle. The formula on this guy is great, just like pretty much all of the Nine Zero's in existence! This was opaque for me in two coats.
Nine Zero Lacquer May 2016

A Peculiar Star 2.0 is a reformulation (blue holographic glitter swapped for a finer silver holographic glitter) of a color from the 2015 Holiday collection. I believe Jess changed it because of difficulty in obtaining the exact glitter she used in the original. This is awesome, actually easier than the original to apply! Opaque in just two coats. Dries with a glitter finish, so I recommend a thick top coat for smoothness.
Nine Zero Lacquer A Peculiar Star 2.0

These two shades are available now on the Nine Zero Lacquer website. May 2016 is $11 and A Peculiar Star 2.0 is $10. What do you think of these two blue babes??

Sunny's Body Products Princesses Box Review

I've got some fun goodies to share with you today, the Princesses box from Sunny's Body Products! I've shared one of the seasonal boxes with you before, and I'm happy to be able to share my review of this one in advance! Thanks Sunny! The box features 12 products in scents inspired by Sunny's favorite Disney Princesses, which is right up my alley. I'm a total Disney geek!

My friend Emily from the amazing blog Very Emily is posting her review of this box at the same time today so please go check out her post. She always does some beautiful nail art to go along with the boxes she reviews, which I am not nearly talented enough to do so please go ogle her amazingness. Let's dive right in shall we?

Colors of the Wind dry spot healer, inspired by Pocahontas, "succulent fruits, berries, currants and tree ripened oranges accent this cool, moist mossy undertones of soil, fallen leaves and sagebrush." I live in a rural area so I am very familiar with the scent of soil, leaves and sagebrush and this is it with that great twist of fruit. Gorgeous outdoorsy scent, perfect for Pocahontas. I really love the dry spot healer too, great for elbows!

Be Our Guest miracle balm, inspired by Belle from Beauty and the Beast, "a bed of roses surrounded by gardenias and plumerias." This is my favorite floral scent in the box, rich and warm but still fresh. The miracle balm works wonders anywhere on your body, but I use it primarily on my cuticles.

Blue Dress, Pink Dress lip scrub, inspired by Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, "sweet spun sugar surrounds soft barley." Aurora is my #1 favorite princess, has been since I was super little. Not sure why, her journey isn't incredibly remarkable, but maybe it's because she got to sleep a lot and her animated boyfriend was really hot. ;-) Lip scrub is 100% essential to my daily routine, I can't live without it, and Sunny's version is the formula I love the most! Proper exfoliation with enough oil left behind to enrich but not too much.

You Want Thingamabobs? triple thick body cream, inspired by Ariel from The Little Mermaid, "cool and refreshing aquatic notes deepened with water lilies and ocean breezes." I'm not usually a fan of lilies but they work in this one perfectly, blending with the other aquatic ocean notes, it reminds me of being on a warm beach pier watching the waves come in! This lotion is great, a nice creamy consistency for ample moisturization. I like to use this type of lotion on my arms and legs when I get out of the shower.

A Whole New World cuticle oil, inspired by Jasmine from Aladdin, "rich base of vanilla, musk and sandalwood well balanced by lively top notes of jasmine, lavender and orange." This smells very spa-like and perfumey, totally what I think of when I imagine Princess Jasmine. Love the cuticle oil, it's great for use throughout the day as it sinks in easily and I really enjoy the rollerball applicator.

Be Brave intensive therapy oil, inspired by Merida from Brave, "refreshing combo of woods, pines and cool misty breezes." I've actually never seen Brave, can you believe it?! I need to fix that seriously, I know. I really like this, makes me imagine doing laundry in a mountain stream or something. The intensive oil is amazing and viscous and really hydrates well. The dropper applicator is nice for applying a generous amount for all your nails at once. I use this formula at night or when my cuticles need extra attention.

The Lost Princess sugar hand scrub, inspired by Rapunzel from Tangled, "humid nights in a damp, outdoor garden, fresh, brisk, mossy and grassy, with potted soil and terra-cotta stones and concrete statues." I don't know if I would've necessarily been one to pick out this scent for this collection, but it actually really works! It totally makes me think of a castle like the one Rapunzel is trapped in. I have tried this multiple times and have grown to love it more each time. The scrub is great at exfoliating and leaves behind a good amount of oil to leave your skin well moisturized. I use Sunny's scrubs at least once a week on my hands and feet.

Glass Slippers hand butter, inspired by Cinderella, "a clean, refreshing fragrance -- floral jasmine, lily of the valley, carnation." I like jasmine and carnation but the lily in this throws it a bit off for me. If you like floral scents, you're sure to like this though. I adore the hand butter formula for areas that need heavy hydration, especially my feet. Thick and very moisturizing, I usually use this before I fall into bed at night.

Wishing Well bath whip, inspired by Snow White, "dreamy, angelic composition opens with bright bergamot citrus then quickly trails to a mix of white florals, jasmine, iris and orris that sets on a delicate vanilla, sandalwood musk silver lining." This scent sadly doesn't work for me, it's one of those musks that will give me a headache if I use, but just sniffing it in the pot I know it's lovely. Sunny's bath whip is great for use in the tub, lathers up nicely and leaves a lot of scent behind on the skin.

Let it Go on-the-go hand lotion, inspired by Elsa from Frozen, "cool mints, camphor and bitter woods highlight a winter trek through the driven snow." This scent totally embodies the "frozen" idea, lovely and crisp. The on-the-go is my favorite formula of lotion that Sunny makes, sinks in super fast and the packaging is perfect for sticking in my purse.

Bring Honor to Us all over body balm, inspired by Mulan, "white baby tea leaves harmonized for balanced reflective moods." Mulan is one of my all time favorite princesses and movie for that matter, but I'm not a tea scent type of girl. This is pretty fresh and light though so I don't mind it. The body balm in a tube is fabulous, easy to take anywhere!

Almost There lip saver, inspired by Tiana from The Princess & The Frog, "delicious warm beignets fresh out of the oven and sprinkled with powdered sugar." Um...can we say YUM?? I'm obsessed with this, bakery scents are my favorites. I haven't been the biggest fan of Sunny's lip balms in the past, but this one seems different? Maybe it's just me, but it's got a lovely staying power and I have been wearing it daily to keep my lips supple and hydrated. And the scent is incredible, can't get enough of it.

This box will go on sale Wednesday, May 18th on Sunny's website. The box sells for $50 with free domestic shipping, international customers add $5 for shipping. Please let me know if any of these scents sound good to you! And please check out Emily's review, which I can already tell you is going to be incredible and 1000x better than mine! Who's your favorite Disney princess? What other box themes do you think Sunny should do? I personally would love a Disney villians box! Have a great day and talk to you again soon!

The Holo Hookup June 2016 Box Swatches & Review

The Holo Hookup is back for June! Different Dimension, Cupcake Polish and Glisten & Glow created a collection of shades for the upcoming month themed as "Decades of Comedies", each brand chose a comedy from a different decade to inspire their shade. The guest maker this month is F.U.N. Lacquer, a brand based out of Singapore that I've heard nothing except utter gushing about! Let's take a gander at the goodies!
inspiration for this month's shades

Cupcake Polish Shake & Bake is a royal blue linear holo with shiny silver flakies, inspired by Talledega Nights, a hilarious Will Ferrell movie. Insane holo and pigmentation! Really great formula. Some Cupcake Polishes I've tried lean thick but this one was super buttery. This is two coats.
 Cupcake Polish Shake & Bake

Different Dimension As If! is a light pink linear holo with added shimmers and microglitters, inspired by the quintessential 90's movie Clueless. The pink has a slight lilac tone, making it kinda unique to my collection! I love all pinks and I have seen Clueless about a zillion times so I adore this. Fab formula, easy to put on. Also has great coverage, this is two coats.
 Different Dimension As If!

Glisten & Glow Bueller... Bueller... Bueller... is a "gilded light brown" linear holographic loaded with gold shimmers and flakies, inspired by 80's movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off. This was more on the sheer side, but built up in three coats. Another easy to apply formula. I love this, it's incredibly unique. I just watched Ferris Bueller the other day, so classic!
 Glisten & Glow Bueller... Bueller...Bueller...

F.U.N. Lacquer Superhero Landing is a black linear holo with red/copper shimmers and red holo glitters, inspired by the recent antihero movie Deadpool. This is my first foray into F.U.N. Lacquer, there is always a ton of buzz about this brand. I really love the brush on this polish, it made it super easy to apply. Another awesome, easy formula, opaque in two coats. This does dry dull so you'll want a top coat for shine. I don't care for the Marvel universe when it comes to movies (I'm a DC girl), but I loved Deadpool!
 F.U.N. Lacquer Superhero Landing

The F.U.N. Lacquer polish comes in a holographic box! Whuuuuuttt??
F.U.N. Lacquer box

The Holo Hookup June box will be available on their website on Saturday, May 21st at 9pm EST through Saturday, May 28th at 9pm EST. The box is $40 plus shipping. This is a pre-order system and they usually ship out the boxes on the 12th of the following month, but due to the international brand joining in this time, they are pushing it back a few days until June 15th. So what do you think about this edition of The Holo Hookup? Which shade and/or movie inspiration is your favorite?

Potion Polish The Dunes Collection Swatches & Review

An indie brand I was just getting to know last year closed their shop right after the holidays, and I was really sad to see them go. I had been so impressed with the polishes I had tried from them! But luckily it was just temporary, because they're back! Potion Polish has put out five desert themed shades for their new limited edition Dunes collection. And I love them!

Mirage is a sandy linear holographic with silver and gold holo glitter and gold micro flakies. This has really great coverage, opaque in two coats. The rainbow effect from the holo is insane! Like seriously firey!
Potion Polish Mirage

Shimmering Flats is a pale mushroomy mauve toned crelly filled with scattered holo, pink to green shifting chrome flakies and pink holo glitter. I have tried similar polishes, but I don't mind because this is a great one. Applies like butter and opaque in two coats.
Potion Polish Shimmering Flats

Desert Moon is an angelic ultra pale crelly with silver holo flakes and glitter in various sizes. This has a ton of goodies in it so it goes on a little chunky, but levels out well. This is two coats. There is a tiny bit of bumpiness due to the glitter, so you'll need a thick top coat.
Potion Polish Desert Moon

Wild Wastes is a pale peach crelly with pink-green-gold color shifting chrome flakies and hot pink shimmer. Another really great formula, only two coats on this one as well.
Potion Polish Wild Wastes

Sunsoaked is a toasty gold shimmer packed with gold micro flakies and pink holo glitter that flashes iridescent. This seemed sheer on the first coat but I only needed two here. You might see tiny areas of see-through-ness in the picture but in person there is so much glitz and bling, it looks totally opaque.
Potion Polish Sunsoaked

These will be available for purchase on the Potion Polish website today, May 13th at 1pm EST. They are all limited edition and $11 each, except for the first two day where they will be $1 off! Are you intrigued by these beigey-neutral glimmery shades? Let me know what you think!

Powder Perfect The Midlands Collection Swatches & Review

Hi there :) My week is not going all that well so far, but at least I've got some great polish to show you today! The Midlands Collection from Australian indie brand Powder Perfect is releasing this week, yay! The Midlands is a "swathe of land that cuts across the heart of England. It is home to Sherwood Forest, a mysterious place that provided refuge for the legendary renegade Robin Hood & his merry men." I love the story of Robin Hood so I am really stoked for this collection.

Robin Hood is a rich Lincoln Green crème inspired by the color of cloth Robin Hood & his merry men wore for clothing. This seemed a bit thin, but was nice and opaque at two coats. What a beautiful shade of green!
Powder Perfect Robin Hood

Nottingham is a blackened navy blue with a smattering of scattered holographic glimmers. I love the super fine holo that Powder Perfect does, unique and glowy! This was totally opaque in one coat, but I did two here.
Powder Perfect Nottingham

Maid Marian is a multi-faceted character, which is reflected in her namesake polish. It has a muted purple base filled with duochrome glitters and shimmer that shift from gold to dark pink. I detect a small amount of green in this as well. Thin and a bit sheer on the first coat, but I got full coverage in just two layers. This is one you have to see in person to really appreciate, it's gorgeous! My friend Valesha over at Peachy Polish has a jaw-dropping macro of this lady on her review post here.
Powder Perfect Maid Marian

Watchful Nights is a dark eggplant purple jelly. Lovely shade of purple, but the formula didn't seem to want to apply evenly for me. You can see around the edges on some nails it seems a bit more translucent. This is two coats, but perhaps three would've worked better.
Powder Perfect Watchful Nights

This collection will be available on May 12th at 7pm EST on the Powder Perfect US based website, and on May 13th 10am QLD time (which may be at the same time, idk) on the Australian website. What say you about this foursome of shades? Have you tried Powder Perfect yet?
