So I showed you the Essie Winter 2016 collection a little while ago and today I thought I'd share my picks from the Essie Fall 2016 collection. This is a six piece collection inspired by Japan, though I'm not sure the exact name. I've seen it called the Fall Into Japanese collection and also Kimono-Over. Either way, I bought four of the shades that tickled my fancy.
Udon Know Me is a dusty stone blue crème. This is thick but nice to apply. I did end up using three coats, it still looked a tad streaky to me on two. I'm obsessed with this color.
Go Go Geisha is a pale muted pink crème. This was just as thick as Udon, but covered evenly on two coats. I realized after I bought this it's a dupe for Zoya's Brittany, one of my favorite shades from 2015, but that one has a "satin" finish while this dries shiny.
Now And Zen is a subdued grey crème. Another thick formula, but easy to apply and opaque in two coats. I can't resist colors like this, they are must haves for me.
Playing Koi is a medium/deep rust orange. This has more of a jelly crème formula, it took me three coats to get a non-streaky, opaque finish but I didn't mind because it ends up looking so juicy! Dries a bit darker than it looks in the bottle. A great pumpkin-y fall color.
The two colors I didn't pick up from the collection are Kimono-Over, a purple jelly crème, and Maki Me Happy, a deep crimson berry jelly crème. This collection should probably still be in most stores still. Essie is sold in Ulta and in most drugstores like CVS and Walmart and on Essie.com. I purchased mine from Transdesign.com. Did you pick any colors up from the Fall collection?

The Hungry Asian's Originals: Charity Trio
My wonderfully talented friend Kae from The Hungry Asian blog recently started selling some franken polishes she mixes up herself. She decided to give the proceeds from the profits of her mini sets to Red Cross Japan to help rebuild after the devastation earlier this year. The mini sets all include her two most popular polishes, Strawberry and Cookies n' Cream plus another polish. There are currently three or four different mini sets to choose from on sale now I believe. I got the one that included Watermelon.
Strawberry is a red crème with a black glitter speckles. The exact thing I think of when I hear Strawberry in the context of a nail polish. This is two coats.

Cookies n' Cream is a super awesome white crème polish with black glitter speckles. Totally reminds me of the ice cream, yummmm :) This is three coats.

Watermelon is a juicy pink jelly crème with tons of icy green crystal micro glitter pieces. This is so pretty and fun and perfect for summer, I love this! Two coats.

You can buy this set from The Hungry Asian blog shop for $15, and remember all proceeds from the mini sets go to Red Cross Japan :D

OPI I Pink I Love You: Japan Edition
I got this in a swap on Makeup Alley from a lovely chica in Singapore. She was fab enough to custom purchase this beautiful Japan-exclusive OPI glitter, I Pink I Love You from the 10th Anniversary OPI Japan Collection that came out a few years ago. I feel really excited that I have this polish, it's so beautiful! Bright warm pink with tons of little square multi-colored glitter pieces. It reminds me of the Happy Birthday Barbie that I had when I was little! This is three coats.
What is your favorite glitter polish?
