Re-do! BB Couture A Touch of Greece collection

I recently reviewed the new collection from BB Couture, "A Touch of Greece". I got them at a time when there wasn't enough sun to photograph them in, but I wanted to show them to you all as soon as possible. So I decided that flash photos had to do. Well, never being one to just accept mediocrity, I decided to re-swatch them all the first chance I got on a sunny day. So here is the second round! Hope you like them, I sure like them better than the first set :)
Hemera
Aphrodite
Nike
Cybele
Selene
Gaia
Eros
Hades
Uranus
Apollo
Ares
Plutus
I also wanted to do a few of the comparisons that were requested by readers. The first is Uranus (pointer and middle) and Hades (pinky) versus OPI San-tan Tonio (ring). As you will see, ST is very much the most nude while Uranus is more butterscotch and Hades is yellow toned with slight shimmer.
The other comparison I was requested to do is with Plutus, the bright grass green crème. Pointer finger shows OPI Don't Mess with OPI, on my middle finger is China Glaze Starboard, and on my ring and pinky is Plutus.
Be sure to check these out on BB Couture's website or on OverallBeauty.com.

BB Couture A Touch of Greece Women's Collection

Hey folks! Here is the second half of BB Couture's A Touch of Greece collection. The colors are named after the deities of Greek mythology, which happens to be one of my favorite subjects!

Hemera is the Goddess of the daytime and like Apollo, her color is vivid and bright. She is a deep carrot orange packed full of light silver shimmer. I thought this might be close to Catalina Cutie, but they're pretty different. This is two coats.
Actually a Titan, Selene is the Goddess of the moon. I prefer the Olympian Roman derivative of Artemis, Goddess Diana personally, but I like the name Selene--too although I'm not sure how to pronounce it. This loud fuchsia has a pinky-purple flash with lots of green and gold glitter *edit: and holographic glitter! Two coats.
Cybele is the Goddess of nature and fertility, also known as an overseer of caves and mountains. This polish really stood out to me among the other colors. She looks like a swirling vortex in a bottle! I would describe her almost frosty sheerish base color as muddy rose clay with a green sheen. It is also chock full of green glitter. This builds up nicely with three coats. I could see using it as a topcoat as well.
Gaia is the Earth mother Goddess, so 'natch, she's green baby! This mama is a shiny glisteny light kiwi green with a slight shimmer/frost. Pretty unique in my collection. This is two coats.
Perhaps the most well known Greek Goddess is Aphrodite. Of course there had to be room for her in this collection! She is the Goddess of love and beauty and the polish embodies that through the color of pink! There are also candy floss shimmer strips of silver weaving through the icy pink polish making it very girly. It's actually a bit lighter than this, but the flash makes it a little darker. This is two coats.
Last we have Nike, the Goddess of victory. Not just a brand of sports gear ;) This polish is a medium, red based purple with lots of silver, blue, and red shimmer. This is two coats.
Whew, what a collection eh? I am very happy with the formula on all of the polishes, for both the men's and women's colors. You will be able to purchase all of these from BB Couture's website for $9.95 each.

P.S. I will be taking daylight swatches of this entire collection as soon as possible to show the colors more true to life. My flash photos are just not up to my standards lately, and I apologize for that. However, I did want to get these posted quickly to highlight the collection for Cindy over at BB Couture. Cheers!

BB Couture A Touch of Greece Men's Collection

I know you've all been on the edge of your seat anxiously waiting to see what BB Couture had in store for their next collection. Well it's time at last! I love that they come out with new stuff so often, it's a polish fiend's dream! This collection, including both a Men and Women's set, is called A Touch of Greece, inspired by and named after Greek Gods and Goddesses. Oooh this is SOOOO up my alley! I have been into mythology since I was a young tyke, it's been fascinating to me. Persephone has always been my favorite. I swear if I have kids one of them will be cursed with that moniker haha. Well, maybe just one of my future puppies haha.

The men's collection has the square bottles, which I prefer, so I'll start with them. Eros is the color that drew my eye first. He is a pale avocado mint green, lighter and paler than Kelly's Green but almost in the same category. There are speckles of black and silver glitter floating about in the crème base of this guy, giving him depth. Eros is the Greek God of sexual love, desire and beauty. Well, that works for me because I luuuurve this polish! Two coats.
Ares is the Greek God of war, and the second polish that I fell in love with when I first saw the new colors. Like the embodiment of a warrior, the polish has a silver sheen of shimmer, almost like armor, swimming in a deep grey crème with a slight cast of blue. This finish is close to one of my favorite BBC's, Impact Driver, without the purple. All hail Ares! Two coats.
Uranus is not a color, or a name for that matter, that I was expecting to see in this collection. He is God of the sky in Greek mythology, husband to Mother earth, Gaia (who you'll see in the women's collection). This color is not going to hit it out of the park with everyone, but I personally really, really like him. He looks like yummy butterscotch or caramel syrup, and it looks nice with my skin tone. This guy will probably harbor a few giggles with more than a few people out there, but humor and beauty always make a good combination haha. This is two coats.
Plutus is the God of wealth and abundance, so of course it would make sense for his polish emulation to be green! This guy is a gorgeous bright grass green jelly crème that flowed smooth and even with great pigment in two coats.
Apollo is the God of the light and the sun. His color is appropriately bright and cheery, being an almost-but-not-quite-neon orange crème. This guy was super easy to paint on and showed off my skin tone nicely. Perfect for spring and summer! I know what my next pedicure color is going to be :D
Last is a color I wasn't quite sure I could wrap my head around at first. Hades is the God of the Underworld, the black sheep of the Greek world. I was glad he was included in this collection, as I said I'm a fan of mythology and he is an integral part of most mythos. The color the ladies over at BB Couture chose to represent him is not a mundane black or grey, but a light tan khaki camel brown with a subtle shimmer! Very interesting! I have decided that I adore this color and will cherish it til my dying days. I may wear it on the day I meet Hades himself ;) This is two coats.
Are there any stand out colors that catch your attention? I hope you're looking forward to the Women's half of this collection, as I will be showing them to you soon!

EDIT: You will be able to purchase these polishes soon now from BBNailPolish.com
