Celestial Cosmetics The Valyrio Collection and More Swatches & Review

Good day to you my friends, how's it going? I've had an interesting week, but things are hopefully calming down now haha. I've got a bunch of polishes from Celestial Cosmetics to show you today, courtesy of Color4Nails online nail polish store.

The first six polishes make up the Valyrio collection, inspired by Game of Thrones and designed by my awesome fellow blogger Chris from Serenity Nails! If you want to learn more about her inspirations for the polishes and what their names mean, please check out her post on the collection here.

Dracarys is a red linear holographic with golden highlights and red microglitter. This applied really well and was opaque in two coats. It's super fiery with the glitters and intense holo flame!
Celestial Cosmetics Dracarys

Kastamiro Damior is a blackened teal blue with shifting sparkle that ranges from teal to blue to purple. This one was thin and slightly runny, so I had to be slightly more careful with my application. Two coats. I have seen similar polish shades, but I think the twinkling of the glimmer bits in this makes it stand out.
Celestial Cosmetics Kastamiro Damior

Kirimvos is a slightly turquoise-y emerald green linear holographic with green opal translucent flakies. Ahh the good ol' days of flakies, we need more of them! This applied easily, but seemed a bit sheer on the first coat. But even so I just needed one more to get the depth of color in the bottle on my nails.
Celestial Cosmetics Kirimvos

Daria Zaldrizoti is a vibrant pink to red to orange shimmer duochrome. This didn't have the most obvious shift in bright light, but it is apparent in lower light. This one was on the thinner side but I only needed two coats for opacity.
Celestial Cosmetics Daria Zaldrizoti

Lilagon is an earthy green shimmer metallic with gold to green duochrome properties. Another one I didn't find to be as shifty as one would normally imagine for a duochrome, but still quite beautiful. Slightly runny, but not as much as the teal shimmer. I will never not like this color of polish, it's so gorgeous to me!
Celestial Cosmetics Lilagon

Sesir Kipi is a gleaming mid-tone cobalt blue with green/gold shimmer and green flakes. Another awesome formula, two coats for full coverage. This is stunning, insanely pretty! Just a note, I had the slightest bit of a blue tinge on my cuticles when I removed this so it's possible it may stain. I always double up on my base coat for blues like this just in case.
Celestial Cosmetics Sesir Kipi

The next three polishes are limited edition shades released a while ago, so you may not be able to find them as easily, my apologies.

Sweet Pea was the polish of the month shade for April 2016. This is a deep robust grape linear holographic with red to purple to gold shifting pigment, green shimmer, and scattered blue and green flakie bits. Fabulous formula, no issues at all, opaque in two coats.
Celestial Cosmetics LE April 2016 Sweet Pea

Hawthorn is the LE edition shade for May 2016. It's a pearly pale pink holo with rose gold flakes and subtle red shimmer. This had really great opacity, quite surprising for such a light shade. Opaque in two coats, went on without fuss or streaks!
Celestial Cosmetics LE May 2016 Hawthorn

Celestial Dream is a summery purple linear holographic with pink microflake shimmer. Another fabulous formula, two coats. This shade was created for the brand's three year celebration, yay!
Celestial Cosmetics Celestial Dream

You can purchase Celestial Cosmetics nail polishes on the Color4Nails website. They range in price from $7 to $11.50. Let me know what you think of these lovely lacquers! And be sure to give Serenity Nails some love if you are digging the Valyrio shades! Happy Friday cookies :)

Fair Maiden Polish Color4Nails Exclusive Duo Swatches & Review

Hello my fine friends! I have two new shades from Fair Maiden Polish that were made as exclusives for online nail polish shop Color4Nails to show you today!

Antique Charm is a light steely sage green with a holographic effect, a slight blue-gold flash, and gold holo microglitters. I didn't realize this was a holo until I put it on and then it became really fiery out in the sun, it seems more like a shimmer in the bottle so that was a cool surprise. It seemed sheer on the first coat, but built up on itself to opacity in three. This is really beautiful.
Fair Maiden Polish Antique Charm

Vintage Romance is a rusty medium pink holographic with a hint of peach. It also has a subtle shifting sparkle throughout, making it softer than a straight holo. This applied really well and was opaque in two coats.
Fair Maiden Polish Vintage Romance

This duo will go on sale on the Color4Nails website on Sunday, June 12th for $12 each. There are a lot of codes floating around that'll give you 10% off so you just need to do a quick search to find one if you want to save a little moola. Let me know what you think of these pretties! Both of the soft classical shades reminds me of romantic renaissance paintings and fabrics, tres elegant.

Cupcake Polish Color4Nails Exclusive Duo Swatches & Review

Hey friends! I've got two new exclusive polishes from the Color4Nails website to share with you by Cupcake Polish! These both have beautiful inspiration collages that were used in the creation of the shades so I thought I'd include them!
Enchanted is an emerald holographic with pink and blue shimmers. I found this to be pretty thick, I had to take a little extra care to apply this evenly but it was worth it. This is stunning! Two coats.
Cupcake Polish Enchanted

Whimsy is a pinky lilac holographic with gold and purple shimmers. This was also a little thick, but easier to apply. Two coats for opacity. Thus freaked out my camera, I had to take a ton of pictures to get one that wasn't all blown out from the holo haha.
Cupcake Polish Whimsy

These two polishes are available on the Color4Nails website now for $14 each. There is a few codes out there for the website that you can get 10% off with, a quick google search will help you find one if you want to save some money. What do you think of these babes?

NCLA x Color4Nails Exclusive Lolanthe Swatch & Review

Hey cookies :) Today I have a polish to show you created with/for online nail polish stockist Color4Nails by NCLA! This shade is an exclusive to their store and it just launched for sale so I figured I better show it to you right away!

Lolanthe is inspired by the Greek name for the violet flower, so naturally it's a vibrant violet color, a linear holographic. There are sparks of pink there as well. This applied nicely, a little thin but easy to control. Opaque in two coats. The base color does change with a top coat though, so the first photo shows it without a top coat, a bit of a dustier, lighter purple.
NCLA x Color4Nails Lolanthe

And this photo is with top coat, turning the purple darker and slightly more blue toned. I like it both ways!
NCLA x Color4Nails Lolanthe // @kelliegonzoblog

Lolanthe is available now for $15 on the Color4Nails website. I don't have an affiliate code personally, but I know there are a lot of them out there if you want to look to try to get 10% off your order there. Let me know what you think of this! Have you tried NCLA before? I've only tried a few, but this one makes me want MORE!

Illyrian Polish Color4Nails Exclusive Duo Swatches & Review

Happy Tuesday cookies! How has your week been going? Mine is shaping up to be nice, I have a short trip to Las Vegas for business for the rest of week so that'll be a nice break from everyday life haha. I live at the other end of the state from LV and it's much different up here. Today I have two new exclusive polishes from the Color4Nails online store to show you! This duo comes from indie brand Illyrian Polish.

Dove Jam has a mid-tone grey holographic base with grey iridescent flakes and a flash of bronzey pink shimmer. This was easy to apply. I used thin coats and it was almost opaque in two, but I added a third for a total coverage. You would probably be fine with two with normal/thicker coats. I really love the contrasting shimmer in this.
Illyrian Polish Dove Jam

Peacock Sauce is a deep teal blue holographic with deep red flakies and a strong gold shimmer. I love the flakes and holo but I felt like the shimmer gave the polish a bit of a frosty look. Same type of formula as Dove Jam; I used three coats but you could probably get away with two.
Illyrian Polish Peacock Sauce

These are available on the Color4Nails website now for $13 each. What do you think of these two shades? I like the names so much haha! They're not really summer colors, but I know I will get some good use out of them when the colder months roll around. Have you tried Illyrian Polish yet?

Contrary Polish Color4Nails Exclusives Swatches & Review

Guess what! Today I have two polishes to show you that you can actually buy! I felt kinda bad about the two I showed you yesterday that you probably aren't going to be able to get any time soon. These happen to be from online nail polish stockist Color4Nails too, exclusively available from them, to anyone who wants them. The duo is by indie brand Contrary Polish.
inspiration photos via Contrary Polish & Color4Nails

How Prim Is Your Rose? is a warm light rose pink with gold microglitter, reddish copper flake shimmer, and scattered holographic shimmer pigment. Application was easy, smooth. Since the base is a little more sheer than a traditional crème, I found I needed three coats to cover my nail line completely. But it gives a nice depth for the glitter to pop through. Dries a bit satiny, so add a top coat for maximum shine.
Contrary Polish How Prim Is Your Rose?

I Kinda Lilac You is a light lilac crelly with holographic silver microglitter and scattered holographic shimmer pigment. This gal had pretty much the exact same formula as the pink shade, three coats here too with added top coat.
Contrary Polish I Kinda Lilac You

These polishes are available now on the Color4Nails website for $12.50 each. Let me know what you think about these two shades! Have you tried Contrary Polish before??

Color4Nails Spring Break Duo Swatches & Review

I was torn about posting these for you, but I couldn't resist. This duo from indie brands Pahlish and Contrary Polish is themed for Spring Break and is from Color4Nails, an online nail polish stockist, exclusively for the members of their Facebook fan group, C4N Nailistas. There were are only 100 duos available and they were only available to order for two days this past week. So you can see my hesitation. But I'm not one to let any good swatches "go to waste" by not posting them on my blog. I hope you don't mind that much!

Pahlish Sunrise In Monaco is a watermelon red jelly with a mix of metallic silver flakes and red glass fleck shimmer. A little thick, but easy to apply and has surprisingly great coverage in only two coats. I have one or two other Pahlish shades, but I actually haven't tied them yet (crazy, I know), so this shade is my first go with the brand. Not disappointed at all!
Pahlish Sunrise In Monaco
Pahlish Sunrise In Monaco

Contrary Polish Isla Mujeres is a sea green crelly filled with gold shimmer and scattered holographic microshimmer. This applies really nicely, and is opaque in three coats. Dries a bit satiny so you'll want a top coat for shine. This is also my first shade from Contrary Polish and I am pretty pleased with it. I love the shimmer/glitter type in this because it's smooth on the nail and doesn't make the polish difficult to remove like other glitters can.
Contrary Polish Isla Mujeres
Contrary Polish Isla Mujeres

Again, I'm sorry if you fall in love with these, but I just couldn't not post the prettiness! And there's always a chance that they could show up on blog sales or destashes in the future. Actually, it might be good for you to join the C4N Nailistas group anyway, as they might be planning to have more exclusive duos in the future, they do lots of sneak peeks to new polishes coming to the Color4Nails store, and sometimes even exclusive early shopping access or discount codes! Plus they ship internationally. Hope your weekend is going well, thanks for coming by today!

Celestial Cosmetics Unicorns and Rainbows Collection Swatches & Review

Hello again dear friends! Today I have a collection from indie brand Celestial Cosmetics to show you called Unicorns and Rainbows! It's a great gathering of spring-y shades that is just right for the warming weather. I was sent these from Color4Nails, a nail polish stockist that sells Celestial Cosmetics (and a whole bunch of other awesome brands)! Let's take a look :)

Cakes & Rainbows (both of which I'm an inherent fan of), has a soft gold base with a holographic effect. I say it's a gold with holo instead of just a gold holo because that's how it seemed to me. Much more subtle and shimmer-like indoors, but a nice linear effect in bright sunlight. This was thin and I had to take care not to overload my brush, but other than that it went on without a fuss. This took three coats for full opacity.
Celestial Cosmetics Cakes & Rainbows

Farting Rainbows has a cornflower blue base with a violet shift and a holographic effect. This one is more obviously holo indoors, but still on the subtle side in my humble opinion. Out in the sunshine it just sings though, very pretty. This was not as thin as Cakes & Rainbows but I still used three coats.
Celestial Cosmetics Farting Rainbows

Snow Unicorn has a frosty pearl base with a holographic effect. I expected this to be a straight silver holo by seeing it in the bottle, but when I applied it I gasped as it turned frosty before my eyes! I'm not against all frosts, but this just wasn't my cup of tea. The brushstrokes killed it for me. This is also quite thin and took three coats for opacity.
Celestial Cosmetics Snow Unicorn

Rainbows & Unicorns Unite has a lilac pearl purple base with a blue shift and a holographic effect. Another three coater, but easy formula, not too thin. This is very pretty but I think I would prefer it without the frostiness.
Celestial Cosmetics Rainbows & Unicorns Unite

Unicorn Fields is a rich clover green linear holographic. I really love this one, strongest holo fire and best formula. Full opacity at two coats. This may be not as unique as the other shades in the collection, but I just swoon over a green holo!
Celestial Cosmetics Unicorn Fields

This collection is available now on the Color4Nails website for $10 per bottle. Let me know what you think of Unicorns and Rainbows! Even though it's not my favorite collection overall, I really enjoyed Unicorn Fields and Farting Rainbows. I'll see you back again soon :)

Celestial Cosmetics Color4Nails Exclusives & March LE Shade Swatches & Review

Hey cool cats! :) I have recently gotten my first polishes from Australian based indie brand Celestial Cosmetics and I am happy to be able to show them to you today! These colors are store exclusives for the nail polish stockist Color4Nails as well as their limited edition shade of the month for March 2016.

Elfin Rose is a vibrant violet-toned pink linear holographic with added blue micro flakies and a sprinkle of copper flakes. The formula on this was on the thin side, but very easy to apply. I was pleased to see it cover completely in just two coats.
Celestial Cosmetics Elfin Rose

Luna Heart is a black linear holographic with a shimmering copper overlay and glistening green-gold-blue opal flakie bits mixed in. Nice and easy to apply, opaque in two coats.
Celestial Cosmetics Luna Heart

Daffodil is their limited edition shade for March 2016. It's a light, lavender toned baby pink holographic with silver shimmer and tiny opal-like flakes that shift from green to blue. It was hard to capture the flakies in the photo but they are definitely in there. Another fab formula with full coverage on two coats.
Celestial Cosmetics Daffodil

These are all available now on the Color4Nails website. The store exclusives are $11.50 each and Daffodil is $11. Tell me what you think of these three holo beauties! Have you ever tried Celestial Cosmetics before? With such a good experience with my first ones, I can't wait to try more of them!

Color4Nails Mother's Day Box 2016 Swatches & Review

Hey cookies! Today I have a new collab box put together from nail polish stockist Color4Nails for Mother's Day! The box contains five exclusive polishes from five different indie brands all inspired by the movie Mamma Mia!

Cupcake Polish Dancing Queen is a deep teal linear holographic with lots of iridescent green flakies. The polish is on the thicker side, but easy to apply. I used two coats for full opacity. It dries a tad dull so you'll want a top coat for shine.
Cupcake Polish Dancing Queen

Frenzy Polish Villa Donna is a sky blue crelly filled with multichrome metallic flakies and silver holo shards. The first coat seems sheer but it builds up nicely on the second coat. The new Frenzy logo is so cute!
Frenzy Polish Villa Donna

Illyrian Polish Feeling Like A Number One is a black jelly with scattered holographic and multicolored/iridescent flake shimmer. The appears that it may be very sheer upon the first coat, but it magically becomes fully opaque with just one more coat. I expected this to be chunky but it's pretty smooth!
Illyrian Polish Feeling Like A Number One

Bear Pawlish Who I Am is a watery aqua linear holographic with blue shimmer. This one also seemed a bit too sheer on the first coat but turned out totally opaque on the second. This is my first Bear Pawlish and I quite enjoyed it!
Bear Pawlish Who I Am

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer The Cake Is A Lye is a white jelly with icy fleck sparkles and subtle holo shimmer. This is my first polish from this brand. I found it went on pretty streaky and was really thick to the point of being almost gummy. I needed three coats to cover the streaks and get full coverage. Not my favorite formula, but it gives a beautiful finished look.
Octopus Party Nail Lacquer The Cake Is A Lye

This box is available for pre-order now through April 3rd for $65 including shipping to any country Color4Nails ships to. There are a limited number of boxes to be sold so be sure to snatch it up if you want it! The boxes will begin shipping on April 18th. Let me know what you think about this box! Do you like the movie Mamma Mia? I think it's pretty cute, and of course I love the music!

Lilypad Lacquer Pinks & Color4Nails Exclusives Swatches & Review

Howdy there! I don't know about the weather where you're at, but we've had snow all week and it's Spring Break! How crazy is that? I'm glad for the moisture but I'm a little over it by now because it's been such a tough winter! Anyway, how are you doing? I've got my first polishes from Lilypad Lacquer to show you today. They are based in Australia and are sold at US based stockist Color4Nails, who provided these to me for review. Let's take a look!

Cheeky is a salmon pink jelly bordering on a crelly. It's pretty sheer and I found it to be pretty streaky. This is four coats, only because I wanted to see it as opaque as possible. You could probably get away with three, or leave it at two coats for a more translucent look.
Lilypad Lacquer Cheeky

Flirt is a light pink crelly. I found this to be a little more opaque than Cheeky but still streaky, it didn't really want to self-level. I used three coats here. Cherubic!
Lilypad Lacquer Flirt

Dollface is a light pink with a slight magenta tone. This was my favorite of the pinks I tried, but still a little streaky. Three coats.
Lilypad Lacquer Dollface

Peachface is a light peachy pink crelly. Same formula as Flirt and Dollface, three coats. All of the pinks seemed to dry really quickly despite having to use multiple coats. And I thought I detected some hidden shimmer in them when I was putting them on, but didn't see any once on my nail.
Lilypad Lacquer Peachface

Break The Rules is one of the Color4Nails exclusive shades. It has a violet/teal color shifting base with multichrome and colorshifting flakies. This was super easy to apply, but not as opaque as I'd prefer. I chose to build it up in three coats for maximum depth.
Lilypad Lacquer Break The Rules

Love Me Or Leave Me is another exclusive color. It has a brown/red color shifting base with multichrome and shifting flakies. Same formula as Break The Rules but I only needed two coats here.
Lilypad Lacquer Love Me Or Leave Me

Guilty Pleasures has a green/copper color shifting base with multichrome and colorshifting flakies. Also a great formula, very easy to polish with. I used three coats on this guy. This is another exclusive polish shade to Color4Nails and is my favorite of the three flakies because it reminds me of a crocodile!
Lilypad Lacquer Guilty Pleasures

Fresh is kind of the odd man out of the group, but a great kind of odd. Cloudy sky blue with brighter blue microglitter and a soft subtle holographic shimmer. Applies as if by magic, opaque in two coats. Dries satiny though, so you'll want a shiny top coat to make that holo pop.
Lilypad Lacquer Fresh

I've got the mini bottles of all of these, and I found them to be pretty nice to work with. Some minis are difficult due to smaller brushes but these have longer handles and normal sized brushes which make application easier. However, they are only sold as full size bottles on the Color4Nails website right now. All the pinks and the blue are $13 each for a 15 mL bottle and the flakie exclusives are $14 each for a full size. Let me know what you think of these! Have you ever tried Lilypad Lacquer before? Talk to you again soon!

Color4Nails Presents Cupcake Polish & A England Duos Swatches & Review

Happy Valentine's Day friends! I'll be celebrating by relaxing and catching up on my DVR'd TV shows haha. What are you doing today? I've recently gotten a few sets of polish to swatch and review from the online nail polish stockist Color4Nails and I wanted to share them with you :)

One of my newer favorite indie brands, Cupcake Polish, has released an exclusive duo for the Color4Nails store! This is a one time run of these shades, so they will not be restocked when sold out.

Cupcake Polish Bitter Almonds is a badass gunmetal grey linear holographic with gold shimmer and metallic silver shards. Um, can I just tell you that my jaw DROPPED when I saw this in person? It's incredible in real life, pictures cannot do it justice. Great formula, very easy to put on. Two coats for full coverage.
Cupcake Polish Bitter Almonds

I included a shade picture because you can really see the shards in all their glory!
Cupcake Polish Bitter Almonds

Cupcake Polish Unrequited Love is a glamorous burgundy linear holographic with added berry colored shimmer and metallic silver shards. Another stunning color! This formula was just as fab as Bitter Almonds, but I noticed this one did take a tad longer to fully dry. Two coats here as well.
Cupcake Polish Unrequited Love

And a shade pic...
Cupcake Polish Unrequited Love

Next I have some new shades from UK brand A England! I've really like this brand for a long time, but haven't gotten any of their colors in the last few years, not sure why! These are both part of their Heavenly Quotes series.

A England Sparks Divine is an antique gold-tan scattered holographic with a crazy shimmery quality to it. Applies very smooth and evenly. I only needed two coats for full opacity. This also dried very shiny so you don't even need a top coat if you don't want one.
A England Sparks Devine

A England Whispering Waves is a turquoise metallic scattered holographic with a pink flash. This was incredibly opaque, a one coater but I did two here. The formula was a little thicker but in a good way. You may see slight brushstrokes due to the metallic finish but I don't think they detract from the beauty of the polish at all.
 A England Whispering Waves

These shades are all available now from the Color4Nails website. The Cupcake Polish colors are sold individually for $14 each or as a duo for $27. The A England shades are both $10 each. What do you think of these holo stunners? I'm in l-o-v-e!
