Colors by Llarowe Mei Mei's Signatures Exclusive Swatches & Review

Hey kittens, happy Mother's Day to everyone of you who happens to be a mom! I just got home from a business trip and I'm wiped. I thought I'd have time/energy to blog while I was out but that didn't happen :P I've got two new polishes to show you today from indie brand Colors by Llarowe that are exclusives for Mei Mei's Signatures, a stockist based in Singapore. I've worked with her many times and I'm excited to be able to show you these.

Tickle The Ivories is a slightly grey ivory jelly with holographic glitter. Being such a light color, I was expecting some streaks, but it really wasn't bad at all. Sheer though, so you'll need at least three coats for this level of opacity. Nice sparkle, happy to add this to my collection!

Orange Sherbet is a coral tinged orange linear holographic. Crazy easy to apply, and opaque in one coat. I used two like usual. Dries on the dull side so you'll need top coat for shine. I'm in love with this shade!

These are both available now on the Mei Mei's Signatures website for 20 SGD, which is around $15 in USD with the exchange rate right now. Let me know what you think of these!

Starry Night Comparison: Pretty Serious vs. Colors by Llarowe

Hey there! Today I wanted to show you a quick comparison of two polishes I've reviewed in the past that seemed similar to me. Colors by Llarowe Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and Pretty Serious Eye of Copernicus. They are both supposed to be a recreation of sorts of iconic and discontinued beauty Essie Starry, Starry Night. Let's see how they compare shall we? **EDIT: I have since learned that Eye of Copernicus is actually supposed to be a reimagined version of Chanel Ciel De Nuit, not SSN.**

The photo shows two coats of each shade. The main difference is that EoC is a shade or two darker navy than TTLS. It's also more opaque. TTLS is more squishy and jelly-ish but it's thicker. There seems to be more glitter in EoC.

You can purchase Pretty Serious polishes from their website for $9.50 AUD and you can get Colors by Llarowe from their website for $12 each. I like both of these but I've gotta pick EoC because it's easier to apply, it's more affordable and Pretty Serious has cuter packaging. Which one of these would you pick?

Love ya!

Colors by Llarowe - Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

Today I will be reviewing a nail polish from polish e-tailer turned polish maker Llarowe. Her brand is called Colors by Llarowe and this polish is called Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. I remember when she first posted about it on her facebook page, saying she was mixing colors and one of them was remarkably similar to Essie's infamous Starry, Starry Night polish, a very hard to find, and expensive when you do, vintage polish. As soon as it was available for sale I snapped it right up because I've been lemming SSN practically since I started blogging!

Twinkle is a dark navy blue jelly packed with tiny square silver glitter pieces, like a stunning night sky. The formula was a bit on the thick side, I found it worked best when I applied it slowly. This is two coats and a top coat, although it is nicely shiny on it's own. I have seen comparisons between this and SSN and it's a touch deeper in color but is otherwise almost indiscernible.

You can pick this up on Llarowe's website for $12 for a 12 mL bottle. What do you think of this polish? Do you own the Essie polish it's modeled after? If so, how do you think they compare? I still want the original haha, I'm a sucker for the "unicorn" polishes that are hard to find.
