Floss Gloss Faded Swatch & Review

What's up buttercup? I am starting to get a cold I think and it is bumming me out, but I'm chugging emergen-c and staying restful so hopefully it doesn't get too bad. It's supposed to be cloudy and blah all weekend so I figured I'd show you a dreary shade of grey today.

This is Floss Gloss Faded that I purchased a few weeks ago. It's supposed to be the color of faded tattoo ink, which is pretty metal. I really like this brand, they have a fun badass image, I like their bottle shape and the brush is really nice. This had a great formula, opaque in one coat but I used two.

I picked this up for $2 at Marshall's, but they are normally $8 per bottle on the Floss Gloss website. That is a little too much in my humble opinion for such a small amount of polish (0.18 fl oz vs. 0.5 fl oz for a normal size). I have paid full price for their polishes before, but might only do so again for one of their more unique shades, probably not for a basic crème. Have you ever tried Floss Gloss? What brands do you like but usually only purchase if they are on sale?

Goodbye February!

Two Pink Manicures

I showed you purple manicures the other day, now here are some pink ones! I have more pink polishes than any other color, even glitter, which sounds crazy. Probably because it's the most readily available shade out there haha.

This is a total classic OPI, Bubble Bath. It's literally the first shade of nail polish I ever remember hearing about. A predominantly "bridal" color, this shade is described as a pink shade of white. I know the newest versions of this are more pink than the original was, but this is my first bottle so I have nothing to compare it to. This is four coats, it's quite sheer, but lovely and timeless.

Now for a more salacious version of a pink manicure, this is China Glaze Wicked Style from their Electropop collection with an accent nail of Floss Gloss Dimepiece. The pink is a punchy bright but not neon pink which I think contrasts excellently with the chunky silver glitter. I felt so funky fresh wearing this mani :)

You can buy OPI at professional retailers and salons for $8.50. You can buy China Glaze from retailers like Sally Beauty, Ulta, and online for around $7. Floss Gloss is sold online for $8. Have you worn any good pink manicures lately?
