SuperChic Lacquer Urban Dictionary Collection Swatches & Review

Hi friends! Today I have a new collection from indie brand SuperChic Lacquer, the Urban Dictionary collection of eight superholo shades. They are described as "fierce color depth shades with intense linear holographic effects." I used a good base coat on all of these to prevent staining, I prefer the SuperChic Bring It On! stain blocking/color bonding base coat.

Rum-Billie is a warm spiced rum linear holographic. Awesomely robust, opaque in one coat and easy to apply. This is a unique shade to my collection, I can't get over it's hotness!

Trap Queen is a vibrant raspberry holographic. This gal is also a one coater, yay! Did you immediately start singing that song? Because I did :)

Zombie Crush is a dark blackened blood purple holographic. Great formula, super pigmented. I got a little of this in my cuticle and it ended up staining my skin, so take care! One coater here.

Wonderwall is an intense pale champagne gold holographic. There is a teal tinge to this that is quite subtle, but it's definitely there. This is the only shade in the collection where two coats were necessary for full coverage.

Awkward Turtle is a gorgeous muted olive green holographic. I was hoping for a green in the SuperChic intense holo formula, so I was really excited to see this! Another fabulous one coater.

Rosebuddy is a pale pink intense holographic. This is almost a rose gold but is more pink than the almost coppery shade I think of for a rose gold. Due to it's lighter color I really thought I would need two coats, but one really did cover my nail completely!

Deadpool is a dark ocean-at-night blue holographic. Who doesn't love a dark blue for fall? One coat wonder.

Awesome Sauce is an intense rich dark chocolate holographic. I'm loving all the brown shades that are coming out this year and this is no exception. This is a one coat shade as well.

Glam Polish Halloween Horror Shop Collection [Partial] Swatches & Review

Hello and happy weekend! Today I get the privilege of sharing a few shades that will be released in the upcoming Glam Polish 2016 Halloween Horror Shop event! There are a whopping 25 shades released for this event, all limited editions in small batches, each exclusive to the Glam Polish site, meaning they can and probably will sell out quickly. And they will not be restocked. I have four of the 25, only a few bloggers are reviewing shades from the collection, and they are all dope! We all know that Halloween is my favorite holiday (it's practically a season, really), and these horror movie/tv inspired shades are so right up my alley!

Fright Night is a dark grape purple scattered holographic filled with color shifting flakies and glass flecks. This is loaded to the brim with goodies but it wasn't difficult to apply which was nice, it spreads out on the nail evenly and covers nicely. Two coats here. Fright Night is an 80's teen horror that I haven't actually watched, can you believe it! I'll have to fix that soon.

You Are Who You Eat is an intense linear holographic in a berry pinky crimson shade. This applied like magic, it's a one coater but the color deepens slightly with two. This is named for the 1999 black comedy horror film Ravenous, another I haven't seen.

Tales From the CRYPT is a shifting blue-purple with holographic flakies. Another easy one, two coats for opacity. The CRYPT series was on tv when I was still a child so I never got the chance to watch them, but that skeleton guy still creeps me out whenever I think about him haha.

Frights! Camera! Action! is a teal scattered holographic with strong crimson shimmer and holo flakies. This one made me gasp when I first saw it in the bottle, a seriously stunning shade. The pinky red flash is easier to see in person, my photo can't do it justice. As far as I can tell, this name is referencing the cartoon Monster High, but I'm not sure haha.

The Halloween Horror Shop shades will be available on on Friday, September 30th at 1pm EDT (USA) on the Glam Polish website for $12 each. The other 21 shades are listed in their shop now if you want to see all that will be available, there's honestly too many to write out here haha. Glisten & Glow All Dressed Up Duo and Experience The Islands Collection Swatches & Review

Hey folks, I'm back again today with the latest from indie brand Glisten & Glow. They put out two small releases of some great crème shades that I'm happy to share with you today! There's the All Dressed Up duo and the Experience The Islands quartet, six colors everyone should have in their collection! Plus I hear these are great for watermarbling, if that is your pleasure!

Wedding Gown White is a bold white crème. I found this easy to use, not chalky like some stark whites can be. It was right on the edge of being a two coater for me, but I think it looked best at three. Dries shiny!

Little Black Dress is a classic black crème. Easy to apply, neither thick or thin. This is two coats. This and the white are the two shades that make up the All Dressed Up duo.

ATV In Aruba is a fuchsia berry pink crème. This applied like an absolute dream, creamy and opaque and buttery. Two coats here, but it's almost a one coater.

Bungee Jump In The Bahamas is a lovely mint crème. I found this one to be a little on the thick side, but I got it on with minimal effort. Two coats.

Parasail In Puerto Rico is a coral pink crème. This one had a great consistency, but it looked a tad streaky to me on two coats so I used one more.

Snorkel In St. Thomas is a vibrant turquoise/cyan blue crème. This one was a little thin but applied well. Not quite 100% opaque on two coats, this is three.

Native War Paints Labyrinth Collection Swatches & Review

Hey friends! I hope your week is going well! I've been a little under the weather, boo. Summer sickness might be the worst, because it's so damn hot! Today I have the Native War Paints Labyrinth collection to show you. Labyrinth is totally childhood nostalgia for me, I can remember watching it over and over with my siblings as a kid. So naturally I was excited to see colors inspired by the movie! And David Bowie is in it, so it's of course a win. Also, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the film, so it's as old as I am, yay!

You Have No Power Over Me has a silver holographic base with silver flakie shards, holo bits, and a purpley-red duochrome flash. This is pretty gorgeous, it has a very strong color flash in real life, harder to capture in a photo. Applied easily, seemed sheer on the first coat but I only needed two for full coverage.

I Will Be There For You has a scattered holographic teal base with a pinky orangey purple duochrome flash and tiny baby microglitter. This was on the thinner side and a bit sheer, but not difficult to apply. I used three coats here but you might get away with two.

Dance Magic has a scattered holographic metallic purple base with large silver flakie shards, purple flakies, and micro holo shreds. This applied nicely, it was a little thicker than the previous shades. Two coats.

Chilly Down With The Fire Gang is a vibrant fuchsia pink metallic with pink flakies and a slight red to gold duochrome. This one felt a teeny bit gummy, but applied pretty well overall. I used two coats here. Fun fact, the song the Fire Gang sings is my favorite in the movie, and I actually knew a girl in school who looked exactly like one of them. O_O

Bog Of Eternal Stench has a murky green gold metallic base, microglitters in various colors, and a gold-green duochrome flash. This one is the sparkliest in the collection and I love it! Easy application and opaque in two coats.

Sir Didymus has a vibrant blue metallic base with red, blue, and gold multichrome flakies and a slight red to blue duochrome flash. This seemed a bit runny to me, I had to make sure not to overload my brush. This is two coats.

Hoggle and Ludo, Friends has a glassy red base filled with multichrome flakies as well as red and bronze flakies. I found this one a little runny as well, but not terribly so. Two coats.

Goblin King has a black base filled with shifting purple flakies, multichrome flakies and a purple to blue to red duochrome flash. This obviously has the strongest duochrome effect in the collection, as they show up best against black. Easy application, two coats!

These are all available for pre-order on the Native War Paints website now for $9.50 each until July 2nd, then the price will increase a bit to $10 each when they go up as regular stock. Let me know what you think about this collection! I liked that these didn't dry as matte as most of the shades I've tried from NWP, but I'd still say you'd need top coat for them. China Glaze Spring 2016 House of Colour Collection Swatches & Review

Hello my friends! Happy Friday to you! I have the new China Glaze collection for Spring 2016 to show you today called House of Colour. This set of twelve shades is inspired by the eclectic tones of the 1970's. There's some great polishes for the approaching warmer season, I hope you like them as much as I do!

China Glaze Sorry I'm Latte is a nude crème. Leans very neutral on me, which I love. This covered way better than I expected, it was thick but really easy to apply and I had no issues with streaking. This is two coats.

China Glaze In The Near Fuchsia is a lush fuchsia jelly crème. More squishy than a straight crème but with great coverage. A little thicker, but not difficult to use. Two coats, very shiny!

China Glaze Let's Chalk About It is a very pale, almost white, pink crème. This applied SO much better than I was expecting it to, these types of colors are usually hard to manipulate. Quite a thick formula, a little more than the others, but easy to apply. Two coats here.

China Glaze About Layin' Out is a salmony coral pink jelly crème. This had the same as consistency as In The Near Fuchsia, maybe a tad less opaque. Still, I achieved complete coverage in just two coats. This is 100% my type of shade, I love it!

China Glaze Girls Just Wanna Have Sun is a pale yellow crème. This had a very similar formula to Let's Chalk About It, but I used three coats for full coverage. Seemed a little thick on the nail at three, but dried surprisingly fast. I adore pale yellows, so this is a winner for me!

China Glaze Don't Be Shallow is a soft sky blue crelly. This is more on the sheer side, but thick at the same time. I could see this possibly getting gummy upon further use. I was very close to almost getting full coverage in two coats, but I needed a third. I didn't mind the third coat though, because it was easy to put on, unlike some three coaters can be.

China Glaze Pink Or Swim is a warm bubblegum pink crème. A classic shade, this is true, but this one just caught my attention so much when I had it on. It's very flattering! Two easy, perfect coats.

China Glaze Moonlight The Night is a glitter topper in a clear base. It features blue and purple translucent type hexes that are color reflective. You can see in the bottle the difference to how it looks over a pale base color. I put one coat over Don't Be Shallow. Although I like the combination, this was very thick after putting on a top coat. So I'd recommend a different base color that needs less layers. This would also look amazing over a dark base. I've pictured it in full sunlight and in the shade to better show off the color shifting look the glitters have.

China Glaze Shut The Front Door! is a mauve purpley-pink metallic shimmer. This applied pretty well but I found it a tad runny. Full opacity in two coats, some visible brushstrokes. I wasn't sure I was going to like this shade at first, but it really knocked me out!

China Glaze Glitter Me This... is a glitter topper with a clear base. There are various sizes of matte white and pale pink hex glitters as well as mirror-like gold hexes in this. Stunning and pretty unique! I only needed one coat over Pink or Swim for this look.

China Glaze Come Rain Or Shine is a bold azure blue with tons of pink shimmer. This shade of blue is so different looking to me, it's matchless in my collection! The formula on this guy was really good, neither thin or thick, opaque in two coats.

China Glaze Chrome Is Where The Heart Is is a blush pink chrome metallic. Not totally a smooth chrome, kind of foil-like. Completely opaque in one coat! Shows some brushstrokes and/or imperfections in the nail bed though, so apply carefully.

OPI Hello Kitty Collection Swatches & Review

Hi cookies! Happy Friday! I'm excited today to show you the OPI Hello Kitty collection! I've always adored Hello Kitty and coming together with arguably my (and the world's) favorite nail polish brand was just a match made in heaven for me! There are twelve shades in this collection, inspired by Kitty's world of fun and friendship!

OPI 5 Apples Tall is a beautiful fruity red crème with a hint of coral pink. Amazing formula, and opaque in two coats. Super pretty and just different enough of a red for me to get excited for it.

OPI Look at My Bow! is a sweet light pink crème with the slightest touch of lavender. A little streaky, but I was able to cover them in three coats. This is such a perfect, girly pink!

OPI My Twin Mimmy is a bright sunny yellow crème, named for Kitty's twin Mimmy's bow color! Yellow is a hard color to get in a good formula, but this one was not bad! Three coats for full coverage.

OPI Starry Eyed For Dear Daniel is a fuchsia pink jelly with small silver hex glitters. I might spy some purple shimmer in there too, not sure. Daniel is Hello Kitty's boyfriend in case you didn't know, so cute. This applied really nicely and was opaque in just two coats.

OPI Let's Be Friends! is a very pale cloud-like pink. So pale it's almost white, but you can tell it's not. This formula was a tad thick, and a bit streaky. I used three coats here to cover the streaks. I've heard other folks have had no trouble with this though, so it might have been me.

OPI My Pal Joey is a super saturated primary blue crème. Amazing formula, probably the best in the bunch! Two coats here. Joey is one of Hello Kitty's friends, and he's a mouse!

OPI Charmmy & Sugar has a sheer shimmery pink iridescent base with small hex glitters in soft rainbow colors. This could be used as a topper, but I build it up in three coats. I think this is the only shade in the collection I don't care for, it has too much going on for me. But I like the name, which are Hello Kitty's pet cat and hamster's names.

OPI Never Have Too Mani Friends is a basic black crème. I felt this was kinda out of place in the collection, but realized it's great for all that Hello Kitty nail art that you can do! It actually has a wonderful formula, dries shiny and is almost but not quite a one coater. I used two coats here. This might be the best black from a mainstream brand I've ever tried!

OPI Small + Cute = ️❤ is a baby pink crème with a touch of peach. This is quite beautiful, I really love this color on me but I found the formula to be finicky. A little thin and streaky, I needed three coats for even coverage. Another one that I've heard other people say they had no problems with though, *shrug*.

OPI Spoken from the Heart is actually my favorite shade in the whole collection, a sweet juicy coral jelly crème! More jelly than crelly but still crème-like, if that makes any sense! Lovely formula, and the only reason I used three coats was to cover my nail line a little more. SWOON! This reminds me of the Texas collection sorbets, but more opaque.

OPI Kitty White is a white shimmer. A polish that will probably never be fully opaque, but it builds up on itself pretty well. I recommend letting this dry for a little longer than normal between coats to avoid dragging. This is three coats, but you could also layer this one of any of the crèmes. This is the type of shimmer particle that gets everywhere so be careful with removal. Did you know Kitty White is Hello Kitty's full name??

OPI Super Cute In Pink is a pink crelly with a purple tone. Applied really nice and even, but with the thinner formula you can still see nail line with two coats, so I used three. Kind of a funny name to put on this shade with so much purple in it!

There is also a special edition shade called Say Hello Kitty! that comes in a box with some Swarovski crystal bow charms. You can see swatches of that one and some comparisons of these colors on my friend Karen's blog BeautyGeeks. Oh I almost forgot, all of these shades have special white plastic shrink-wrapped caps with Hello Kitty on them too, which is pretty darn cute!
