GlitterDaze Moon Baby Collection Swatches & Review

I have the latest collection from GlitterDaze to show you today, the Moon Baby collection! I've always considered myself more of a "moon" than a "sun" if you know what I mean, so these already had me intrigued when I heard the name. There are six ultra holographics in lightly toned spacey colors in this set. They all have the same formula, slightly thick but not difficult to apply if you don't overload your brush. I used two coats for all the swatches here.

Amaris is a lavender toned pink linear holographic with a gold to green shifting iridescent base.
GlitterDaze Amaris

Crescent is a light blue linear holographic with a lavender to blue shifting iridescent base.
GlitterDaze Crescent

Eclipse is a smoky grey linear holographic with a lavender to gold shifting iridescent base.
GlitterDaze Eclipse

Luna is a lilac linear holographic with a pink to orange shifting base.
GlitterDaze Luna

Moonbeam is a neutral silvery taupe linear holographic with a lavender to blue shifting iridescent base.
GlitterDaze Moonbeam

Starlit is a mint green linear holographic with a pink to orange shifting base.
GlitterDaze Starlit

This collection is available now for $12.50 individually on the GlitterDaze website. What do you think of these ultra holos? I am refreshed by the soft colors with all the deeper shades we've had coming out with the fall season. My favorite is Starlit but they're all gorgeous! Are you a "moon baby"?

This collection is available on the GlitterDaze website now for $12 each. I really enjoyed them all, but my favorites have to be Pool Boys Wanted, I Need Vitamin Sea, and Wanderlusting. What about you?? Have a great rest of your weekend!

GlitterDaze Cloud 9 Collection Swatches & Review

Greetings dear cookies! This is a collection that has been out for a while but I haven't had time to put it up until now. The GlitterDaze Cloud 9 collection features six pastel crèmes in a gorgeous, non-chalky, self-leveling formula. They all applied pretty much identically so rather than repeating myself six times, I'll tell you now that each swatch is two coats and applied easily.

Up, Up and Away is a pale cool pink crème.
GlitterDaze Up, Up, and Away

Ready, Set, Jet is a pale warm off white crème.
GlitterDaze Ready, Set, Jet

Sky's The Limit is a pale blue crème.

GlitterDaze 4th Birthday Gift Set Swatches & Review

Good day to you fair dear! Let's hope this week is better than the last one. At least in my case, haha! Today I have the gift set from GlitterDaze for the 4th Birthday of their brand to show you! This set includes two holographic nail polishes, a cuticle balm, and a hand fizzy.

Image via GlitterDaze

GlitterDaze Birthday Kisses is inspired by the Pantone 2016 Color of the Year, Rose Quartz. It's a warm light pink linear holographic shade with shifting iridescent blue glass fleck shimmers. Thin consistency but easy to apply. Two coats for opacity.
GlitterDaze Birthday Kisses

GlitterDaze Make A Wish is inspired by the other Pantone 2016 Color of the Year, Serenity. It's a medium periwinkle linear holographic with color shifting iridescent pink shimmer. Same formula as Birthday Kisses, this is two coats.
GlitterDaze Make A Wish

The cuticle balm included is unscented, which is a bummer for me. I would've love a cake batter scented balm! But it works well and you get a nice amount for a "sample" size. It's stiff but melts into the skin quickly and give nice moisture without being greasy.

The hand fizzy is scented, yay, with a lovely birthday cake scent! I love the little sprinkles and the heart shape! It is a bit on the crumbly side, but not extremely so. If you don't know, this is a type of "manicure bomb" used for adding to warm water and soaking your hands in as a moisture treatment. This worked well in terms of fizzing and moisturization, a nice treat for your hands or feet!

This box is available now on the GlitterDaze website for $24 or you can purchase the individual polishes for $12 each. Let me know what you think about this box! Are you interested in picking it up? Can you believe this is their 4th year of making polish? My how time flies!

GlitterDaze Holiday 2015 Glitz & Glam Trio Swatches & Review

Hey again! I have the second trio for Holiday 2015 to show you today from indie brand GlitterDaze, I showed you the Winter Night trio the other day in case you missed it. These three are holographics in metallic shades, great for your holiday parties or New Year's Eve! I did not put a top coat on these so I could show you their total holographic-ness, but I did put try a top coat on them later and it didn't affect the look, which is nice. Let's take a look!

All That Glitters is a metallic gold linear holographic. This has a lovely neutral gold hue, not too yellow. Easy formula to apply. I used two coats here, but I noticed after looking at the photos there was still a bit of see-through-ness on the corners of my nails so I could've used one more coat.
GlitterDaze All That Glitters

A Pretty Penny is a rich metallic copper linear holographic. A bit on the bronzey side of copper, this is a unique shade to my holo collection. The holo particles look a bit bigger in this one than the other two in this trio. Easy formula, two coats for opacity.
GlitterDaze A Pretty Penny

Rosé On Ice is a pale metallic rose gold-y nude linear holographic. I thought this would be the most subdued of the three, but the fire is really strong in the holo, it even shows up indoors in lower lighting. This is two coats, but I might've needed one more to get the sides covered a bit more like the first polish.
GlitterDaze Rosé On Ice

These are available for purchase now on the GlitterDaze website for $12 each, or $32 for all three. Tell me what you think of these holo metals! My favorite has to be Rosé On Ice, it's perfect for all occasions!

GlitterDaze Winter 2015 Winter Night Trio Swatches & Review

Hey there and happy Monday! I have a trio for the Winter 2015 season to show you today from indie brand GlitterDaze. They have six shades to make up their seasonal release, but they can be purchased as gift sets in trios so I'm going to show them to you separately. This trio is called Winter Night.

Cold Nights is a cobalt blue jelly polish packed with holographic micro shimmer, holographic flakies, real silver flakes, iridescent flakies, and color shifting metallic flakes. This is a stunning shade of blue that makes the multicolored flakes pop out like northern lights! The jelly formula builds up nicely. This is two coats but you may need three depending on the opacity you want.
GlitterDaze Cold Nights

Fiery Embers has a deep, glowey maroon jelly base full of holographic micro shimmer, holographic and silver flakies, as well as iridescent and color shifting flakies. This shade kind of overtakes the colors of the metallic flakes, but in a good way, giving them all a berry wash making the shade look incredibly complex. More opaque than the blue, this is two coats.
GlitterDaze Fiery Embers

Twinkling Lights is a dark charcoal grey jelly filled with multicolored shifting metallic flakes, silver and holographic flakies, and holographic micro shimmer. The flakes in this one seem the smallest and more varied, making it a confetti like mix of glitter in a galaxy night base. Great formula and opaque in two coats.
GlitterDaze Twinkling Lights

These are available for purchase now on the GlitterDaze website for $12 each or $32 for all three. I really adore all three, they might be my favorite GlitterDaze shades ever?? Fiery Embers has my heart though, I would definitely recommend that one to everyone! Which is your favorite? Stay tuned for the next trio from GlitterDaze, coming soon!

GlitterDaze Back To Rad Collection Part 2 Swatches & Review

I'm back today with the second half of the GlitterDaze Back to Rad collection! I posted the first six yesterday here, so here are the remaining seven shades. This half is on the darker side and includes some glitter/shimmer polishes. In case you missed it, the inspiration for this collection is the 90's era, which I grew up (in part) in!

Freak Of Nature is a deep muted mossy green crelly. This was way more sheer than the lighter colors in the first half that I posted yesterday. I needed three coats for full opacity. This is quite dark, looking almost black in lower lights. I still call my siblings freaks of nature sometimes, it's such a sick diss!
GlitterDaze Freak of Nature

You've Got Mail is a dark slate blue crelly. You've Got Mail was such a cute romantic movie, and this is also a great catch phrase for the rise of technology in the 90's. This has almost the same formula as Freak of Nature, but was a little more opaque so I only needed two coats.
GlitterDaze You've Got Mail

Y2K has a sparkly gold base with holographic silver shimmer and metallic multicolored shifty flakes. This had a thinner consistency but was not difficult to use. A little sheer at first, but I used a thicker second coat and it covered completely. You may need three depending on your application style. This is way more sparkly in person than I could capture. If you lived in the 90's, you probably remember the Y2K hubbub. So silly to think about now huh!
GlitterDaze Y2K

Bomb Dot Com is a chocolate brown with a crelly formula. This was the ultimate catch phrase in the 90's, but I still say it sometimes because I'm super cool. I had no trouble with this one and it was opaque in two coats.
GlitterDaze Bomb Dot Com

Heroin Chic has a clear base filled with platinum shards, holographic shimmer and holographic microflakes. This is one coat over You've Got Mail. I feel like this is a polish I've been looking for but I didn't know it. I love it! The metallic shards show up more in low light while the holo shimmer pops more in bright light.
GlitterDaze Heroin Chic

Lewinsky is a deep muted brick-ish cranberry red crelly, This one was similar to the formula of Freak of Nature, very jelly-like. More thick but also a bit runny, I had some pooling on the edges on some nails. I used two coats here. I do have to say this is kind of a unique shade of red in my collection though, I really like the color.
GlitterDaze Lewinsky

Boombox is a jet black jelly loaded with silver holographic glitter and shimmer bits. I don't know about you, but my boombox was an essential item growing up! I even had one in my front seat when I got my first car, because it was so old all it had was an AM radio. Be jealous. ;) This applied quite easily and covered in two coats.
GlitterDaze Boombox

All of the solid color polishes dried really shiny, but I always use a top coat even so. The glitter shade may need two coats of top coat for a smooth finish. These are all available now on the GlitterDaze website. The crèmes are $10 each and the shimmers/glitters are $12. How do you like these shades? Which half of the collection are you drawn to most? I loved the brights, but with the colder weather I feel this half is more seasonally apropos.

See you again soon with more polish!

GlitterDaze Back To Rad Collection Part 1 Swatches & Review

Greetings cookies! I have a new collection from indie brand GlitterDaze to share today, it's called Back To Rad. This is a thirteen shade collection inspired by and named for the 90's era! I was born in 1986 so I spent my childhood in the 90's. All these names are taking me back to the good ol' days man! I've got six of the thirteen to show you today, the rest are coming soon!

Away Message is a cool toned heather purple crème. I never really got into using AIM for chatting, but I had always had a good away message anyway haha! This was lovely to apply, opaque in one coat but I used two.
GlitterDaze Away Message

Spice Up Your Life is a medium berry pink crème. I loved the Spice Girls when they first came out, and I love them still. (Remember their movie Spice World??) This was easy to apply with a nice shiny formula. This is two coats.
GlitterDaze Spice Up Your Life

Dip Baby Dip is a slightly lavender toned pink crème. Did you just start singing the Tootsie Roll song? It gets in my head whenever I read the name of this one haha. The formula on this was a bit thick, but it wasn't difficult to work with. Two coats.
GlitterDaze Dip Baby Dip

Grunge is a greyed out medium purple crème. The grunge scene was so huge in the 90's, Nirvana is still one of my favorite bands. And who doesn't love a good flannel? Lovely formula, this was opaque in two easy coats.
GlitterDaze Grunge

Mom Jeans is a fabulous azure blue crème. Way better than the high-waisted mom jeans of my childhood, this blue is a fashion DO. Easy to apply and opaque in one coat, but I used two.
GlitterDaze Mom Jeans

No Duh is a dark magenta crème. Duh is one of the words I can remember using the most as an adolescent so I love this one. Easy formula, opaque on one coat but deepens a shade with another layer.
GlitterDaze No Duh

These are available now on the GlitterDaze website. They are priced at $10 each. Are you a 90's kid like me? I love the inspiration behind this collection and was really happy with the formulas. Which is your favorite? I have to pick Mom Jeans! Stay tuned for part two of the collection!

GlitterDaze Halloween 2015 The Witching Hour Collection Swatches & Review

Happy Halloween all you spooks and kooks! I have a wonderful Halloween trio to show you today from indie brand GlitterDaze. These glittery shades are inspired and named after famous witches. I myself am a rather witchy woman so I am fully on board with this theme!

Bellatrix has a black jelly base that is full of holographic shimmer, magenta microglitter, and iridescent shimmer that twinkles out rainbows. This was almost fully opaque on two coats, but there were a few uneven spots so I layered on a third. This polish is named for super evil witch Bellatrix Lestrange from the Harry Potter books/movies, and I hate her! But I love this polish. :)
GlitterDaze Bellatrix

The Sanderson Sisters is a warm toned medium purple jelly with holographic shimmer, magenta micro glitter, and bronze multichrome metallic flakies. Lovely formula, great coverage and easy to control. Two coats. However, I wore this for a full manicure with just a peel-off base coat and I had some pink staining on my nail beds after I took it off, so double up on your base coat! Named for the trio of witch sisters from the quintessential childhood Halloween movie, Hocus Pocus!
GlitterDaze The Sanderson Sisters

The Wicked Witch of the West is a deep teal jelly with multi-dimensional holographic shimmer and bronze/green multichrome metallic flakies. This had the same type of formula as The Sanderson Sisters, maybe a touch less opaque, but I still only needed two coats. This is of course named for the green witch from the Wizard of Oz. That movie gives me the creeps haha!
GlitterDaze The Wicked Witch of the West

All of these dry dull with a slightly bumpy texture, so use a thick top coat for a smooth, glossy finish. These are on sale now for $12 each on the GlitterDaze website. Are you doing anything especially exciting for this Halloween night? What is on your nails today?? Be safe and have fun tonight everyone!

GlitterDaze The Marie Antoinette Collection Swatches & Review

Hi everyone! Sorry it's been a few days since my last post, it's been a bad month for headaches for me. I suffer from chronic daily headaches and migraines, and different factors like the weather and stress can make things much worse at times. I am feeling better this weekend so I'm back!

Today I have the newest GlitterDaze collection to show you! This is The Marie Antoinette collection, inspired by the infamous queen of France from back around the time before the French Revolution. There are six milky crellys with multichrome metallic flakes.

Chemise A La Reine has an off-white crelly base with multicolored metallic color shifting flakes and a sprinkle of holographic shimmer. This went on very easily and dried quickly. I was surprised at how opaque it was in only two coats. I recommend a top coat as these don't dry particularly shiny.
GlitterDaze Chemise A La Reine

Off With Their Heads has a greenish browny grey base with shifting metallic flakes that turn from gold to pink to bronze, red/bronze shimmer and gold holographic shimmer. This one had some chunkier pieces of flakes than the first one, but was no different in application. Two coats.
GlitterDaze Off With Their Heads

Versailles has a lovely mint green crelly base with shifting multichrome flakes in green and blue tones with some holographic shimmer. This also had an easy formula, opaque in two coats.
GlitterDaze Versailles

Reign of Terror has a mauve pinky purple crelly base with purple shifting flakes that turn blue, gold and magenta as well as holographic shimmer. I feel like a broken record, but this has the same wonderful formula. Two coats.
GlitterDaze Reign of Terror

Louis is a pale cornflower blue crelly with multichrome metallic flakes that flash purple to blue, silver shimmer and holographic sparkles. Same great formula, two coats for full opacity.
GlitterDaze Louis

Eat Cake has a crelly base in a peachy pink nude tone with color shifting metallic flakes in pink/green/gold and gold holographic shimmer. Also great, also two coats. The brand mentions that this polish may cause light staining, though I swatched this without a base coat and wore it for a good twenty minutes or so and didn't notice anything. But please heed their warning and use a good coat of base or two.
GlitterDaze Eat Cake

These colors are stunning and they fit right into what I think of for the fashion at the time of Marie's life. These polishes were just a pleasure to put on, no fuss and super easy to work with. Maybe they won't be everyone's cup of tea, but they are really beautiful in person and very sparkly, it was difficult to show that in the photos. The Marie Antoinette collection is available now on the GlitterDaze website for $12 each. Tell me what you think of these, any favorites? I think Chemise and Louis are tied for mine!
