Moo Moo's Signatures It's All About Spooky Collection Swatches & Review

I'm back with more Halloween polishes! Singapore based indie brand Moo Moo's Signatures has four new polishes that positively scream Halloween, the It's All About Spooky collection! I am stoked with all the good seasonal polishes this year, and these are right up there. Let's have a peek!

The Curse of Dracula has a dark maroon base filled with blue shimmer, which gives it a purple look overall. There is also holographic dust, tiny blue and red flakies added in for sparkle. This has a good formula, but was a little uneven in some spots on two coats so I used three. I like that this shimmer isn't super metallic, it blends into the color nicely.
Moo Moo's Signatures The Curse of Dracula

Jack-O-Lantern is a light pumpkin skin orange crelly with color-shifting micro flakies and gold sparkles. Lovely formula, easy to apply. The crelly base lends itself to being a tad sheer, so I used three coats for full coverage, but it was pretty close on two.
Moo Moo's Signatures Jack-O-Lantern

Frankenstein's Monster is a dark forest green with a slight teal tinge, sparkles with red shimmer, red micro flakies, holo sparkles, silver flakie shards and pink & purple iridescent glitters. This is a little thin, take care not to overload your brush or it can run to the sides a bit. This is three coats. A unique polish, I love how the silver shards look like broken mirror or something.
Moo Moo's Signatures Frankenstein's Monster

Dangerous Werewolves has a dark brown metallic base with sparks of blue microglitter, green micro flakies and caramel, red and gold glitters. Nice, easy formula, opaque in two coats. I didn't think I'd like this one as much as I do. Even though metallics aren't my favorite, but this one just works somehow!
Moo Moo's Signatures Dangerous Werewolves

These will be available on the Moo Moo's Signatures website on October 10th at 12am (SGT) for SGD16 (about $11.65 USD right now). How do you fancy these shades? Any pop out and grab your attention? Talk to you again soon dolls!

Nine Zero Lacquer October 2016 Polish of the Month + Halloween 2016 Collection Swatches & Review

Hello friends! I've got the latest Polish of the Month from Nine Zero Lacquer to show you today, along with their six piece Halloween collection. Nine Zero just passed their year anniversary, so join me in congratulating maker Jess's success! I've been incredibly impressed with her polishes since she started and I know her dedication to creativity and quality will only continue. Cheers!

October 2016 is a light nudey brown linear holographic with added holographic silver microglitter. This formula was great, a breeze to paint with. This is two coats. It dries a bit dull so you'll want a glossy top coat for shine. If you want to check out all the 2016: A Year in Review colors that I've reviewed, click here!
Nine Zero Lacquer October 2016

And now for the Halloween shades!

Tricks No Treats is a white crelly with shredded glitter in metallic orange, green, and purple. This applied really nicely, nice and opaque. I found it required no manipulation of the glitters to get them to lay nicely, just don't put too much pressure on your brush or you may push them off the nail. This is two coats.
Nine Zero Lacquer Tricks No Treats

The Witching Hour is an orange, purple, green and black microglitter. This was a bit stingy on the first coat so you can definitely layer this. I built it up in three coats. It of course was a bit chunky but if you wait for it to dry down a bit between coats it layers easier. Dries gritty like glitters do, so use a layer of thick top coat or two for a smoother finish.
Nine Zero Lacquer The Witching Hour

Spooky Lights has a silver holographic base with orange, purple, green, and black hex glitters. Lovely application, a bit sheer on the first layer, builds up in three coats. This is the third variation of this type of polish that Nine Zero has done, the first was in the Holiday 2015 collection and the second was limited edition for July 4th this year.
Nine Zero Lacquer Spooky Lights

Jack-O-Lantern Juice is a pumpkin orange crelly with black shredded glitter. Nice formula, easy and covers in two coats. This reminds me of the tunic Fred Flintstone wears haha.
Nine Zero Lacquer Jack-O-Lantern Juice

Black Cat Optional has a clear base with silver holographic microglitter punctuated with medium black hexes, large orange hexes, and white circle glitters. This has the same as Witching Hour but doesn't get quite as opaque, as you can see tiny bits of my nail in some spots. Another one you could layer over an opaque base color for another look if you want.
Nine Zero Lacquer Black Cat Optional

Cauldron Fire has a black jelly base filled with orange holographic microglitter. The formula is excellent, no issues and full opacity at two coats. This is the epitome of a Halloween polish and I am head over broom for it!
Nine Zero Lacquer Cauldron Fire

The polish of the month is available now on the Nine Zero Lacquer website for $11. The Halloween collection is available for pre-order through tomorrow 10/5 at 11:59 EST, priced at $54 as a set and $9-$11 individually. After the pre-orders ship, then they will be available for regular purchase. I noticed last year's Swamp Thing is also available for pre-order for $10, I loved that one! Let me know what you think about these new colors :)

Powder Perfect Halloween Duo 2016 Swatches & Review

Inspired by the three witch’s poem from Shakespeare’s Macbeth, the Halloween duo from Australian indie brand Powder Perfect is ready for the season of the witch! These two new shades feature unusual color combinations that totally capture the Halloween spirit. Let's take a look!

Cauldron Bubble has a dark purpley almost-black base filled with multichromatic shimmer that shifts from purple to green and chameleon chrome flakies that flex in tones of copper/fuchsia/green. This was pretty sheer on the first coat, but it built up on itself really nicely. I did use three coats, but it was super close to being opaque in two. Dries a bit dull so you'll want a glossy top coat.
Powder Perfect Cauldron Bubble

Toil & Trouble has a murky olive green crème base with added pink iridescent flakies and gold holographic microglitter. I found this to be a bit runny so be sure not to overload your brush. I used two coats here for full opacity. A glossy top coat really brought this to life, it is just the type of shade I will be sporting the entire fall season!
Powder Perfect Toil & Trouble

The duo is available on the Powder Perfect website and their US site now for $13 AUD/USD each or $24 for the duo. Let me know what you think about these two polishes! Are you ready for October and Halloween? Because I sure am!

Glam Polish Halloween 2016 Trio Swatches & Review

I am back with my second same-brand-two-days-in-a-row post this month, haha. More Glam Polish! I have their stunning Halloween trio for this year to show you today. Do you remember last year's trio? Needless to say, I was super excited to see what they would come out with this year. Let's take a peek shall we?

Frankenslime 2016 is a neon green jelly filled with ultra holo glitter, multiple sizes of neon green, metallic purple glitter and a hint of holo. This is ultra neon, super eye searing! This is a little chunky due to how much glitter is in it, but with a great Glam Polish formula! Great coverage at two coats.
Glam Polish Frankenslime 2016

Be Careful What You Witch For… has a purple tinted holographic base packed with multiple sizes of silver holo, blue, sapphire, purple, lavender, magenta and pink glitter. Fabulous glitter payoff and lovely to apply. Two coats!
Glam Polish Be Careful What You Witch For…

Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun is a light chartreuse holographic jelly with ultra holo glitter, multiple sizes of silver and blue holo glitter and plenty of glass flecks. A tiny bit thicker but not difficult to handle. This is also two coats.
Glam Polish Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun

This trio is releasing the same time as the Horror Shop shades I showed you yesterday, this Friday, September 30 at 1pm EST (USA) on the Glam Polish website. Individually they are $11.50 each and as a set they are $32. What do you think of these glittery lacquers?

Glam Polish Halloween Horror Shop Collection [Partial] Swatches & Review

Hello and happy weekend! Today I get the privilege of sharing a few shades that will be released in the upcoming Glam Polish 2016 Halloween Horror Shop event! There are a whopping 25 shades released for this event, all limited editions in small batches, each exclusive to the Glam Polish site, meaning they can and probably will sell out quickly. And they will not be restocked. I have four of the 25, only a few bloggers are reviewing shades from the collection, and they are all dope! We all know that Halloween is my favorite holiday (it's practically a season, really), and these horror movie/tv inspired shades are so right up my alley!

Fright Night is a dark grape purple scattered holographic filled with color shifting flakies and glass flecks. This is loaded to the brim with goodies but it wasn't difficult to apply which was nice, it spreads out on the nail evenly and covers nicely. Two coats here. Fright Night is an 80's teen horror that I haven't actually watched, can you believe it! I'll have to fix that soon.
Glam Polish Fright Night

You Are Who You Eat is an intense linear holographic in a berry pinky crimson shade. This applied like magic, it's a one coater but the color deepens slightly with two. This is named for the 1999 black comedy horror film Ravenous, another I haven't seen.
Glam Polish You Are Who You Eat

Tales From the CRYPT is a shifting blue-purple with holographic flakies. Another easy one, two coats for opacity. The CRYPT series was on tv when I was still a child so I never got the chance to watch them, but that skeleton guy still creeps me out whenever I think about him haha.
Glam Polish Tales From the CRYPT

Frights! Camera! Action! is a teal scattered holographic with strong crimson shimmer and holo flakies. This one made me gasp when I first saw it in the bottle, a seriously stunning shade. The pinky red flash is easier to see in person, my photo can't do it justice. As far as I can tell, this name is referencing the cartoon Monster High, but I'm not sure haha.
Glam Polish Frights! Camera! Action!

The Halloween Horror Shop shades will be available on on Friday, September 30th at 1pm EDT (USA) on the Glam Polish website for $12 each. The other 21 shades are listed in their shop now if you want to see all that will be available, there's honestly too many to write out here haha. Let me know what you think of these shades, and if you're planning on picking up any from the limited editions! It cracks me up that being such a fan of the horror genre, the four shades I got are named after movies/shows that I haven't seen! Are you a scary movie junkie??

Different Dimension Halloween 2016 Poe. Collection Swatch & Review

Hey there folks! I have an awesome quartet of polishes from indie brand Different Dimension to show you today. It's the Poe. collection, inspired by the gothic literary stylings of Edgar Allan Poe, someone who I've been a fan of since I was a wee lass.

Once Upon a Midnight Dreary is a black jelly polish with hex glitters in orange, blue, purple, and green. I love the formula of these type of polishes from Different Dimension, they all apply easily, not too thin or thick. This is three coats. Perfect shade for the Halloween season!
Different Dimension Once Upon a Midnight Dreary

...Dream Within a Dream is a full coverage Halloween glitterbomb! Holographic silver microglitter with added tones of orange and black glitter in various shades and sizes. This is loaded UP with glitter, a little chunky but surprisingly easy to handle. I used three coats here to make it opaque, but you could also layer this one over a silver, orange, or black for an equally cool look. May require extra layer of top coat for a smooth finish.
Different Dimension ...Dream Within a Dream

Nevermore is a charcoal black linear holographic with added orange shimmers and orange microglitter bits. This was incredible, easy to apply and super opaque. The microglitter pieces can poke through a bit so I used two layers of top coat on this one. I've worn this twice since I got it!
Different Dimension Nevermore

And All I Loved, I Loved Alone is an orange jelly with holographic flakes. Love this type of formula, even, opaque and sparkly finish in a jelly! Such a great pumpkin-y shade for the season!
Different Dimension And All I Loved, I Loved Alone

New cuticle oil scents coming soon too! They will come in both pen (2.7 mL) and dropper (15mL) sizes, as well as new sample sizes, which are great for testing scent/fragrance sensitivities. This is the first time I've tried Different Dimension's cuticle oil and I am really pleased with them! I'm totally diggin the long lasting moisturizing qualities and scents.
Image via Different Dimension website

New cuticle oil scents are: Explore - Fresh pumpkin blended with orange peel, sweet carrot, ground cinnamon, clove bud, nutmeg and vanilla cream; Discover - A fresh and feminine fruity blend of mango and strawberries with grapefruit, freesia and amber and tonka bean; Journey - Notes of pink amber and vanilla wrap around blushed orchid and jasmine petals; and Drift - Ripe black raspberries are mixed with dark plum and warm vanilla.

The polishes and oils will be available on Friday 9/23 at 9pm EST on the Different Dimension website. Polishes will be priced at $12 each, except for Once Upon a Midnight Dreary which is specially priced at $5. There will be special discount pricing on the full collection for the first 24 hours of release, so mark your calendar! Let me know what you think of these new shades! I've got more Different Dimension for you very soon so keep your eyes peeled for them!

Glam Polish Coven Collection Swatches & Review

Hey folks! Today I have some great fall shades to show you, the limited edition Coven collection from Australian indie brand Glam Polish! "Hide your children and lock your doors our COVEN of Divine Sorceress’s are on the lose this fall and no one is safe from their Dark Power!" These are all named after spooky witches from movies and television! All the formulas are identical, opaque jellies with easy two coat application.

Katrina Van Tassel is an intense red jelly with scattered holographic flakes. Named for the female lead in Sleepy Hollow, which is of course an amazing movie.
Glam Polish Katrina Van Tassel

Nancy Downs is a deep violet jelly with scattered holographic flakes. This color represents the character in The Craft, maybe one of my favorite movies of all time.
Glam Polish Nancy Downs

Madame Serena is a vampy plumberry jelly with scattered holographic flakes. This name comes from the seer in the radtastic 80's movie Teen Witch.
Glam Polish Madame Serena

Zelena is a bewitching green jelly with scattered holographic flakes. Inspired by the character in the television show Once Upon a Time, which I admit I've never seen.
Glam Polish Zelena

Ms. Eva Ernst is a rich burgundy jelly with scattered holographic flakes. Named for the Grand High Witch from the movie/book The Witches, another favorite.
Glam Polish Ms. Eva Ernst

Magica De Spell is a dark purple jelly with scattered holographic flakes. I didn't know who this was before I looked it up, but she's a cartoon sorceress from the Scrooge McDuck universe.
Glam Polish Magica De Spell

These will be available this Friday, September 2nd at 2pm EST on the Glam Polish website for $11.50 each, $66 for the set. What do you think about these witchy polishes? I do wish she would've stuck in a deep blue, or a dark green, but they all have amazing formulas and are perfect for the upcoming fall/Halloween season! And speaking of Halloween, I know Glam has a Goosebumps themed 9-piece collection coming out the same day as these, and later in September or early October they have another Halloween collection coming out! Yay!
