3 Little Indies

Hi folks! Whoa, January has flown by huh! I can't believe it's almost February. Craziness! Today I'm bringing you three mini indie polishes that I bought this past summer and haven't shown you yet.

First is Pretty and Polished Bubble Tea. It's a very interesting polish, a milky jelly in a yellow slime-ish green color with teeny whitish clear glitter, that reminds me of salt, and black hexes. I layered two coats over OPI Don't Talk Bach To Me from the Germany collection. If you've ever had the real bubble tea, you know this is a spot on interpretation in polish form.

Next is Hit Polish Precious Metal. Bronze, copper, gold, silver and gunmetal colored metallic hex glitters in all sizes with a handful of holo microglitter makes this a stunner! I actually didn't even realize there was holo in it until I stepped into the sun to take this picture and it nearly blinded me! I layered two coats over OPI Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!. I love this and should actually get around to wearing it again soon!

And last is Hit Polish Halloween. It's a glitter polish with hexes, squares, and bar glitter in purple, green, and orange. I layered two coats over OPI Deutsch You Want Me Baby?. I didn't love this as much as I expected but it's fun enough.

Pretty and Polished nail lacquers can be purchased on their Etsy store and their website. You can get Hit Polish nail lacquers from their Etsy store or their website. How do you like these guys? Have you tried anything from these brands? I love indie polishes! Well, the good ones ;)

Three Indie Glitters

I've written a previous post about D & R Apothecary nail polish, but they've since changed their business a little and the new name of their glitter polish line is called Hit Polish. They also used to sell bath & body products like soap and lip balm but they've had more success with polish so that's what they're concentrating on now.

This is a mini polish I got from their new line called Antique Rose. It's a perfect fall glitter, in shades of rose gold, copper, green, and gold glitter pieces in large and small hexes and squares. I topped Rescue Beauty Lounge's Moulin Rouge with two coats of Antique Rose. I'm head over heels with this combo. It's MUCH better in person, but this is the best I could do to show you it's beauty.
Shade

Here is a polish from back when they were just D & R Apothecary, called Blaze. It is packed full of orange mini hexes, small orange hex, large red hex and golden yellow bars. I actually really hate this photo because it makes the layering combo I used look STUPID. This is American Apparel Manhattan Beach with two coats of Blaze. Honestly I looked at this in the sun and hated it. I thought it needed a totally different type of base color for layering. It looks like the damn plague or something.

However when I turned to go inside and saw the combo in the shade and swooned. Manhattan Beach looks much less bright when not in direct sunlight, making the pair look much more compatible. I love this now, although when I wear it I need to remember not to be in the sun too much ;) The bar glitter really taco'd on this unfortunately.

This one is called Patina. Which is one of my favorite names. I also happen to adore the MAC eyeshadow called Patina. So naturally I figured I would love this polish. Copper glitters, brown glitters and aqua/turquoise glitters all in fine, small, medium and large sizes. I layered it over OPI Berlin There, Done That from the Germany collection. LOVE this.

You can get Hit Polishes from their website http://www.hitpolish.com/ or on their Etsy store http://www.etsy.com/shop/HitPolish. She is having a sale right now, 20% off mini sized polishes. If you've been on the fence about trying them, now would be a good time :)
