Deborah Lippmann Spring/Summer Lacquers

Deborah Lippmann used her prototype of Yellow Brick Road for Lady Gaga at The Grammy's for the exclusive performance of her new single at the time "Born this Way". It got tons of press and I just had to have it. Yellow Brick Road is a stunning lemon yellow jelly that is so squishy it could be a sunshine cloud! Very beautiful and a must have for yellow lovers, Gaga fans, and heck anyone who loves Deborah Lippmann lacquers! This is three coats.
Naked by Deborah Lippmann came out in early Spring this year, along with Glitter in the Air (which I will be reviewing soon, I promise). I was dying for this seemingly perfect nude hue and it was worth the wait. This is by far, the quintessential hands-down MOST sublime your-hands-but-better polish I've ever used. It's the most opaque, au natural, but not too yellow or pink, beige skin color polish for me. Thank you Deborah! You've made my mannequin hands dream come true with this polish! I used three coats, only because my nubbins were giving me trubs not because the polish needed three.
Now the newest addition to Deborah's lineup of lacquers, Lara's Theme. Created with Dutch Supermodel, Lara Stone, Lara's Theme is a super bright, though not neon, almost-red orange. Very beautiful and a nod to the model's national color. This is so perfect for summer and even more perfect for me! I couldn't keep my eyes off it and the second I got it in the mail last week, it went on my fingers :) This is two perfect coats. I imagine it will go on my toes next, woot!
What do you think of these new Lippmann polishes?

Lippmann goes Gaga in Yellow

Lady Gaga is always pushing the envelope and exploring new trends. This year’s Grammy Awards proved no different. The award winner arrived in an egg pod and emerged wearing a bold, yellow nail.
The nail color is a new addition to Deborah Lippmann’s line and is called Yellow Brick Road. Celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann selected the color with the star to complement the canary yellow outfit she donned during her stage performance.
Yellow Brick Road launches on April 15 and will be available for $16 at www.deborahlippmann.com.

waking up in vegas

waking up in vegas was recently worn by miss Lady Gaga herself *bows down mentally* on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine. her manicure was applied for the cover shoot by Deborah Lippmann, the creator of the lacquer. this muted grey putty color is uber creamy and is really fashionable these days. also, it's perfect to match our rainy clouds as of late haha, even though i last wore it on a sunny day :) this is three coats.

please excuse the tips, i had just filed my nails so the edges were a bit sharp and didn't polish too well :P

lippmann bad romance

i'm gaga for gaga. ever since lady gaga first strut out her in her mcqueen platform shoes, i was hooked. "just dance" was my anthem of 2009 and my love for her has grown exponentially since i first heard her album "The Fame". her music, her controversial style, her fierce attitude, her unapologetic life force all make me bow down and worship the monster that is gaga. i even bought tickets to her concert here in salt lake city for next spring more than a year in advance :D

so when i heard that deborah lippmann had made a nail polish inspired by gaga and named it after her song bad romance, i knew it had to be mine. it is has a black jelly black base and is full of small bits of fuchsia glitter and larger hexagonal sequin fuchsia glitter. this is a pure rock n' roll polish and i can totally see gaga wearing something like this :) deb herself has done gaga's nails more than once so it's awesome she came up with this shade. these are my sister's nails, Clarrisa dear, thanks for modeling! this is two coats; opacity and application were excellent!!  she loved it and could not stop staring at her hands.  i heard she showed off her mani all day long today at work too haha :)
