China Glaze Little Drummer Boy

Finally! The last nail polish in China Glaze's 'Tis the Season To Be Naughty and Nice Collection! I cannot believe I left it out, it was one of the colors I was most excited about.
Little Drummer Boy is a dark navy with a metallic blue shimmer. I found it a little goopey, like Peace On Earth. However, it is really gorgeous once I was able to get it on well. This doesn't scream "holidays" to me, but it is nice to have a blue in this collection! This swatch is two coats.
Here is my video of the entire collection, you can see my YouTube channel with all my other videos HERE--but don't expect to see me on camera. At least not yet haha. I'm too shy ;)

naughty and nice vs. naughty

here is a comparison of china glaze's naughty and nice and orly's naughty . they're both vampy jelly crèmes, but the china glaze is plum based and the orly is definitely red toned . both swatches are three coats.
can you tell a difference? i can, but just a bit. i like both formulas too so it's really a toss up of what's more available to you.

last round of naughty and nice colors

and we've come to the end of China Glaze's massive holiday collection, 'Tis the Season to be Naughty and Nice: Celebrate the Season with Sugar, Spice, and Everything in Between. 16 colors designed to bring festive cheer to your hands and feet!

here is phat santa, the most beautiful red jelly crème i think i've ever seen! seriously, i absolutely love this color. this is two coats. there is a tiny bit of visible nail line, but it's so vivid that you can't really tell.
jolly holly is another gorgeous color, it's a super amazing green shimmer. perfect for christmas and is incredibly pigmented. this is two coats. one of my favorites from this collection.
and last but not least, mommy kissing santa is a deep cherry red shimmer polish that is sure to be flattering on just about everyone. i can't believe how much i loved this one! i wasn't super impressed looking at it in the bottle, but after i put it on, i had some major love for it! this is two coats.
and... i just realized that i am missing my swatch of little drummer boy so CRAP! i have deceived you and there is one more naughty and nice collection swatch comin your way :)

party hearty and mistletoe kisses

moving into the winter months and we have more holiday polishes! here are two more china glaze naughty and nice polishes for you folks!

party hearty is a red and green glitter that is sure to brighten up any mani this season. chunky and fun, different sizes of sequins make this baby a must have from this collection. this is two coats.

mistletoe kissses is a cool spiermint green and silver glitter that has a frost edge to it, kind of like mrs. claus. very in tune with this collection and super unique. i've never seen a polish like it! three coats and i'm a happy girl!
the last three naughty and nice polishes are coming your way, along the the new Nubar holiday jewels and the FingerPaint winter dreams :)

more naughty and nice swatches

hey guys! i hope everyone had a great halloween :) and for those who don't celebrate, i hope your weekend was pretty great also.

naughty and nice, the namesake of this collection, is a vampy deep dark jelly that looks pretty black but is actually a plummy purple. this is three coats.
midnight kiss is the gold version of cheers to you, soft yellow gold foil. this two coats. very pretty and as always i. love. gooooooold.
ruby deer is a gorgeous bright red creme that really brings Christmas to mind. and i love the name! three coats.
jingle bells is a champagne gold metallic polish, not as foily as midnight kiss. this is two coats. not my favorite on me but still lovely and it's nice to have two golds to choose from in a collection, that way if one doesn't suit you chances are that the other will.
the last round of these is coming up so keep your eyes peeled folks =)

china glaze mrs. claus

from the second i saw the bottle shots of China Glaze's holiday collection, Tis the Season to be Naughty and Nice, my heart has been set on acquiring this baby. mrs.claus is a pinky red glitter polish with a candy red base.  the glitter has kind of a silver sheen to it, like frosted glass almost! it's pretty sweet.  and the name is just too cute huh :)  this is two coats.

naughty and nice plum cheer

here are two more naughty and nice china glaze colors for you :)

cheers to you is more of a New Years Eve color, but of course works for all year round just fine. a stunning silver foil that literally looks like melted silver! very bling. i would compare this to orly's shine but a little smoother imo. i loved this polish and got a lot of compliments on it. this is two coats.
sugar plums is a nice addition to this holiday set, a lovely maroon red shimmer with tiny holographic bits of glitter mixed in. this polish is reminiscent of some of china glaze's most loved colors, crystal ball and grape crush. at first i wasn't sure if i would like it, i didn't know if there was quite enough glitter for me. but once i had it on, i found that i really liked it's subtlety--the glitz is still there but is more subdued and sly. wearable for even some of you glitter-phobes! this is two coats.
lots more from "Tis the Season to be Naughty and Nice" coming up!

naughty and nice whites

hi everyone! hope your weekend is going well :) mine is very rainy! i have two of the holiday China Glaze polishes to show you today, the white ones.

snow is the creamy opaque polish, a more marshmallow than plain stark white. this covered well for me in two coats which is impressive. it's flattering on it's own but most would probably use it as a base for art or other colors.
i decided to layer some other colors on top of snow to see how it turned out.  here are party hearty, mistletoe kisses, mrs. claus, and jingle bells (which i will show you a full swatch and review of each soon).  i used two coats of ph and one of each of the others over the white.
the other white color in the Tis the Season to be Naughty and Nice collection is called frosty.  very aptly named, this polish is the color of frost on windows.  take care to use thin coats to resist bubbling.  pictured is three thin coats.  it looks a bit streaky at two, but three evens it out.  this is a super pretty color and brought to mind one of my most cherished ChG's, white-kwik-silvr from the surf collection.
of course i had to do a comparison between the two.  they look pretty different in the bottle shot but turn out relatively similar on the nail.  kwik has more of a translucent color and the shimmer is more gold, and frosty is definitely more white and has more of a silver color in the shimmer.  i also needed one more coat of kwik to make it opaque than of frosty.
hope you like these and there are more from this collection coming up soon!  have a good one my darlins :D

china glaze peace on earth

china glaze's holiday collection "naughty and nice" is HUGE!  mega huge.  i've had a lack of sun these days, so i'll definitely try to post them as i get them swatched, but big collection posts are hard to do (especially since all my big term papers are coming up due soon) lately.  sun photos are easiest to do with my new camera and i think they look better than flash photos, but i do try to include both a lot of the time.

the first color that caught my eye and BEGGED to be worn was peace on earth (heh heh, peas on earth, cuz it's pea colored, heh heh).  it's an olive green metallic, which is pretty cool to see in a christmas collection, new and different!  i like it but i don't love it, application was a bit tough and i can see those brush strokes that i loathe.  all in all though, the color is super pretty.  two coats.
the second i saw this color i thought about how it would compare to opi's at your quebec and call, a long time lemming of mine which i recently acquired.
quebec is more brown toned and richer, it also is waaay nicer to apply, but it is non big-3 free which is always easier for me :/  peace is very much the greener of the two and more metallic.  if you want a christmasy olive?  pick peace.  if you want a no fuss olive that is sexy hawt?  pick quebec.  two coats for both.
