NCLA x Color4Nails Exclusive Lolanthe Swatch & Review

Hey cookies :) Today I have a polish to show you created with/for online nail polish stockist Color4Nails by NCLA! This shade is an exclusive to their store and it just launched for sale so I figured I better show it to you right away!

Lolanthe is inspired by the Greek name for the violet flower, so naturally it's a vibrant violet color, a linear holographic. There are sparks of pink there as well. This applied nicely, a little thin but easy to control. Opaque in two coats. The base color does change with a top coat though, so the first photo shows it without a top coat, a bit of a dustier, lighter purple.

And this photo is with top coat, turning the purple darker and slightly more blue toned. I like it both ways!

Lolanthe is available now for $15 on the Color4Nails website. I don't have an affiliate code personally, but I know there are a lot of them out there if you want to look to try to get 10% off your order there. Let me know what you think of this! Have you tried NCLA before? I've only tried a few, but this one makes me want MORE!

Lac Attack - Cherry Blossom Bloom & Holy Chick!

Hi folks! I've got the last two lacquers in the Lac Attack Spring Fling collection for you, finally. First is Cherry Blossom Bloom, a glitter mix in a clear base. It's full of metallic circle glitter in poppin' purpley fuchsia, small white hexes, and large white strips. I am gagging over how much I love this circle glitter. I wasn't in love with the look in the bottle, but once I saw it on the nail I was blown away. I'm a torn on the big tape-like strips of white but it breaks up the mix. This is two coats layered over pale pink NCLA Not So Sweet. The clear base was thick and I ended up with lots of bubbles but I still love the result.

And last is Holy Chick!, a white jelly creme with dashes of large yellow hex glitters, medium pale blue hexes, and smaller iridescent hexes. The formula on this wasn't my favorite, it was hard to make it opaque. I would recommend layering it over a solid white creme. I do like the color combo and it look nice overall, although I would prefer if the glitter popped a little more. The pieces get a little lost I think. This is three coats.
Lac Attack - Holy Chick!

Lac Attack nail polishes are sold on their website http://lacattack.com/ for $8 for a full size bottle and $4.25 for a mini. Holy Chick! doesn't seem to be available at the moment but Cherry Blossom Bloom is currently up for purchase. What do you think of the lovely indie lacquers?

NCLA Sweet Revenge Collection

I recently got to try a new-to-me brand called NCLA. They are a cruelty-free Los Angeles based brand. They have nail polish and a very cool line of nail wraps that have proven to be very popular. I'll be showing you some of those in another blog post down the road. Today's post features two of their summer polishes, a three piece collection called Sweet Revenge, inspired by a day at the carnival.

First is Not So Sweet. It's a pretty but typical pale pink creme. The formula is rather thin and not very easy to work with. I got a lot of streaks and patchiness in the first two coats. I ended up using three coats to make it look presentable. I guess it lives up to its name.
NCLA - Not So Sweet

This one is called Mostly Sunny With a Chance of Sprinkles. Love the name although it is a bit long. It's a stark sky blue creme with tiny black matte glitters that remind me of pepper. It's on par with a lot of the sprinkles-in-creme type polishes that came out this year. The glitter pieces in this one seem to sink in the polish more than I'd prefer, creating a lumpy and murky effect. It is also not especially easy to apply. This is two coats.

I didn't love these polishes but I have seen quite a few from NCLA that do look promising to me. The other polish in the three item collection, Sugar Fix, looks pretty cute. I got these from Nail Polish Canada, where they are available for $16 each. You can also buy them on NCLA's website.
