More Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquers

Yay I have two more Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics polishes to show you today!

Anime is freaking awesome. It's a NEON hot pink that actually applies really well. I usually have some streaky issues with neon polishes but this one was a dream. Two coats baby! Here it is pictured with topcoat, I took pictures without but the matte neon glow totally freaked out my camera.

This is Strumpet, uh that name cracks me up. I thought it meant a baked good you eat at tea parties, but apparently it means "female prostitute or promiscuous woman" according to Dictionary.com. I'm not fond of derogatory words directed at women, but it is just fun and tongue-in-cheek so it doesn't bother me. This is a rich plummy dark pink/red that applies like butter, two coats.

You can purchase OCC products on their website, http://www.occmakeup.com; their nail polish is $8.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquer

Today I have some of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics nail polishes in their newly designed packaging. The new bottle is close to American Apparel's and Massini's bottles, tall rectangles with a longer handle. I do like the look of the new bottles compared to the older square bottles, but these are easier to knock over.

Here is Femme, an "icy flamingo pink shimmer". This was surprisingly easy to make opaque, only two coats. Great formula, minimal brush strokes and very classic looking.

Next is Extravaganza, a "rich pink/coral with a gold overlay". I couldn't find this on the website at the moment, but I assume it will come back into stock. I love the watermelon color and super brightness! The gold is very subtle, I wish it was a little more pronounced. Two coats.

Here is Pool Boy, an "aquatic blue creme". This is a really pretty blue and reminds me of clear blue skies. This is two coats. I love how it really pops against my skin tone.

Next is Palare, a "fuchsia with blue/violet shimmer". I tend not to pick fuchsias too much but I really love this one. It's bright and fun and the formula is fab. Two coats.

This is Cruising, a "brassy gold shimmer" that is so metallic it's considered "demi-matte" by OCC. It's no secret that I love GOLD and this is a really pretty foil. This is two coats.

You can purchase Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics nail polish on their website, www.occmakeup.com, for $8 per bottle. OCC is known for their bold color and their nail polish is no exception.

occ nail varnish

here are some more obsessive compulsive cosmetics polishes for you beauties!

wasabi is a WHAM! POW! IN YO FACE! color that is totally up my alley :D a bright chartreuse creme that was a tad thick, but manageable. this is three coats of brillance!
uber is an amazing shade that i la la love!  my skin is a bit more tan than most folks', i think, so it's hard to find a neutral that looks good on me. this taupe is perfection without matching my tone too closely, a nice contrast but still giving that "band-aid but better" look. and the formula was seriously great, thin but opaque! three coats.
rx is a new shade, part of their UV selection--they glow under ultra violet light! it is a PERFECT true candy blue! and i love the name, haha! this formula was also amazing, no bubbling and it built upon itself very nicely! this is three coats.
and last is radiate, another LOOK AT ME! color, a UV shade as well, red this time! wowza, i can't believe what this baby did to my camera! almost impossible to capture in a photo, you have to see this one to believe it! to say it glows would be an understatement! this is three coats.
are you diggen and of these shades, kittens? i love bright colors, even if we are looking at fall coming up fast :)

occ blackboard

obsessive compulsive cosmetics is a total pigment explosion! i'm telling you, if you're looking for color, go look at the occ website, and you'll find it! this company has made their name famous by creating pro-quality makeup and for having amazing and innovative products, like their lipstick/gloss hybrid "lip tar". these folks know how to do makeup, but do they know how to do polish? i didn't doubt them really, but of course i had to find out :)

i've seen a few swatches of a couple colors on other sites and there was one varnish color that i knew i HAD to have. occ blackboard is the EXACT color of a classroom chalkboard, deep dark satiny green! la la loveeeee :)

this is three coats. the formula was slightly watery but opaque enough. the problem i ran into with this polish was that i found the brush to be a bit awkwardly shaped. the hair seems to be thinner at the top than at the bottom, in almost a bell shape (think like a fat blush brush). this made my application of the polish feel clumsy and bunglesome. other than that though, i'm loving this polish!
ooohhh lemming = fulfilled!  these are $8 at occmakeup.com.  has anyone tried any of their polishes before?
