Guest Post by Cured by Chris: Summer Blobblicure

Good morning! I would like to present another guest post from one of my awesome blogger friends, this time from Christine over in Australia!

---

Hi guys! I am super honoured to be here on Kellie's blog while she has a little break. I have followed Kellie for a long time now and spent many hours drooling over her beautiful swatches that make me want to buy all the things! I hope you enjoy the look I've created for you today. I run my own nail blog, Cured by Chris (formerly Serenity Nails), out of Australia where I casually share some of the gorgeous polish creations you're used to seeing here.

Today I have a colourful, summery nail art look for you that was surprisingly easy to achieve!

Firstly I painted my nails with a white base. I used Dance Legend Binary Polina which is a two coat white. There is a reason I chose a two coater!
While the second coat was still wet I sort of 'blobbed' on the following shades to create this semi-marble/blobbicure look.
Polishes used are;
Picture Polish Tingle
Picture Polish Fairy Floss
Polish My Life Soho Slippers
Ulta3 Frangipani

While I really loved how that looked, I felt it needed something more and some black stamping was just the ticket! I used Uber Chic Beauty plate 7-01 and Joss Black Stamping Polish to finish my look!

I really love how this manicure looks both before and after the stamping. What do you think?

Thanks for having a look at my post here and a huge thank you to Kellie for having me here!

Chris xx

Picture Polish Forget Me Not Swatch & Review

Hi there :) Today I wanted to show you a polish I just picked up the other day called Forget Me Not from Picture Polish. This is one of their collaboration polishes, with blogger Lacquertude. She is seriously a goddess when it comes to nail photography, be sure to check out her blog!

This is a vibrant blue filled with Picture Polish's signature scattered holo sparks and bits. This dries smooth, there's no gritty glitter in it. It has a slightly dusty, almost periwinkle tinge to it in lower lights, but appears almost neon in the sunlight. It had a smooth and even formula and was opaque in two coats. This is seriously fantastically gorgeous and I would call it a must have shade!

I purchased this from Llarowe for $15. Picture Polish is based out of Australia but they ship to most countries, so you can pick them up on their website, as well as from their many stockists. What do you think of this stunning blue babe? I am seriously head over heels! If I ever got to make a collaboration shade with PP this would probably be the type of finish I would choose, it's flashy yet delicate at the same time. You need this!

Have a great day!

Picture Polish Pshiiit Swatch & Review

Happy Sunday! I recently got this polish from a friend's blog sale and I couldn't wait to wear it! Picture Polish Pshiiit made in collaboration with Pshiiit Boutique is stunning and I've wanted it since it came out a few years ago, but never bit the bullet to buy it until now.

It's a lush tealy blue green metallic that kinda color flips in different lights, with some gold shimmer and flakies! It's glimmery but soft and it's just amazing. The sunlight photo shows off its' metallic luster while the shade photo shows the color shift and the cutie flakes. It's kinda thin but very easy to use. I used three coats here.

I felt like a sea goddess with this on my nails, I really love it! You can buy Picture Polish on their website or from their many stockists. What do you think of this shade? Would you rock mermaid tips?

Have a great week dolls!

Picture Polish Imperial Swatch & Review

Hi there and hello! I wanted to show you my newest addition to my Picture Polish stash, Imperial. Picture Polish is an Australian boutique brand that sometimes collaborates with bloggers to create new shades which is super cool. This one was created with my friend Jeanette, The Swatchaholic.

It came out last fall and I'm so glad I finally picked it up. It's a neon purple with holo sparks, blue and pink glass fleck shimmer and pale gold medium hex glitters. Seriously stunning. The application was a little streaky/patchy, due to the neon pigment I'm guessing, but it looks perfect after three coats. Also, make sure to shake it up well because the glitters tend to sink. It dries matte so you need a top coat for shine.

It also is a bit difficult to photograph the color correctly, I would say it's a little more red toned in real life than I could capture here. Haha it kinda sounds like I'm complaining about this polish, but I really do love it! Problem child or not, I love it.

You can purchase this on the Picture Polish website or from any of their stockists, I bought this from Llarowe for $14.50. What do you think of this color? If you could create your own collaboration shade, what kind would you make? See ya next time!

Picture Polish - Majesty

Happy Sunday! Today I wanted to show off a polish that I have had for a while but I haven't worn until this week. And I love it. LOVE! It is Majesty by Picture Polish, a metallic nude goldy coppery shade with scattered holographic "sparks". This type of color is really attractive to me because I feel like it would look good on absolutely everyone, which is actually the inspiration for the color! It is a collaboration polish created by beauty blogger Sahrish Adeel, and I have to say great job girl!

I used two coats. It looks like you can see a lot of visible nail line in these photos, but it looks quite opaque in lower lights. I have really pink nail beds and that gives the color a bit of a purple tone in the photos but it's not as apparent in real life. There is also a bit of teal green duochrome to the glitter which gives it a cool dimensional effect. It's just fabulous. I can't believe it's taken me so long to wear this.

Picture Polish shades are $AU 12.00 a bottle on their website, or from Llarowe, which is where I purchased this, they are $14.50. What do you think of this blingy nude? Do you think this would look good on you? Talk to you soon!

Picture Polish - Focus by Pointless Cafe

Today I have another Picture Polish collaboration shade to show you. This one is a creation of Pointless Cafe, a blogger who wanted a polish that reminded her of "wine cup" flowers that flood south Texas in the Spring. Focus is a beautifully ambiguous shade of red/violet/magenta with micro flakes of whiteish silver and glitz in red, blue and pink.

The formula on this is nice but on the thick side. The brush on PP's seems to be more flexible than with other brands; sometimes it works perfectly but with some polishes I feel like a stronger brush would make painting easier, like with this one. I used three coats for this swatch.

You can buy Focus online at Picture Polish's Australian-based website for AUS $12, from Canadian-based website Harlow & Co for $14.50, and US-based website Llarowe for $14.50.

Picture Polish - Paradise by Liquid Jelly

Hi everyone! Long time no blog :( I got a promotion at work and things have been quite busy for me lately. I apologize for my absence and hope to be back at full speed very soon! Now let's get to some NAIL POLISH!!

This is one of my favorite new paints that I have acquired recently. It's a collaborative color from Picture Polish with Aussie blogger Liquid Jelly. If you haven't heard of her blog, you should check it out because she's awesome. This color called Paradise is truly spectacular and one of those that you can't appreciate the full beauty of until you see it in person. It's a jewel toned teal blue foil with green iridescence, pink sparkles, pink hex glitters, and holo sparkle bits.

The formula on this is quite nice, smooth with a slight texture when dry. The color payoff is like WOW. Mega blingy and quite stunning. This is three thin coats. You can buy Paradise online at Picture Polish's Australian-based website for AUS $12, from Canadian-based website Harlow & Co for $14.50, and US-based website Llarowe for $14.50.

Picture Polish - Demeter

Today I have a beautiful Picture Polish shade that they made in collaboration with Katie from Harlow & Co, an online store for nail polish based in Canada that ships internationally. Katie wanted to make a chocolate brown holographic shade and PP delivered with this luxe earthy scattered holo beauty that she named Demeter. This is two coats.

I forget how much I adore brown polishes. I have a lot of them I just don't get around to wearing that often, but I need to make sure I do. This polish has an excellent formula, very buttery on application and nicely opaque. You can buy Demeter online at Picture Polish's Australian website for AUS $10 or on Harlow & Co for $14.50.

Picture Polish - Dorothy

Today I have a lovely new polish to show you, Dorothy by Picture Polish. This polish is a pinkish red jelly with truckloads of silver and red glitter swimming inside, reminiscent of course of the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz. Not exactly a summer shade but I just love how it glimmers in the sun! Plus I just posted about some Oz shades, so I figured I'd continue the theme ;)

This is two coats. This was a fabulous to apply shade, flows great and easy to make opaque. I think I would prefer if this was slightly more pure red, but I still really like it. You can buy Dorothy online at Picture Polish's Australian website for AUS $10, on Harlow & Co for $13 or Llarowe for $12.50.

Ozotic - #609

Ozotic number 609 is a beautiful scattered holographic silver polish. It is thin enough that you can layer it over different polishes to produce a holo topcoat look or you can build up the coats to make it opaque as I have done here. This is three coats.

Ozotic polishes are made in Australia by the brand Picture Polish. They come in beautiful square bottles with a slightly rubberized handle that carries a nice long brush. The brush head is longer than most, which can be harder to paint with on shorter nails, but I find with a lighter touch they work well for me.

You can buy this online at Picture Polish's Australian website for AUS $12, on Llarowe or Harlow & Co for $14.50. What do you think? I love this look on my short little nubby nails :)

Ozotic - #910

This is a Picture Polish lacquer under their label Ozotic, number 910. It's a gold duochrome that glints green at certain angles, with large holographic scattered shimmer bits. I LOVE this polish. It's one of my few coveted Ozotic polishes and it combines three of my most loved characteristics in a polish. I love holo of any kind, I love gold, and I love duochromes! This reminds me a bit of Chanel Peridot but I had an easier time with this formula and this one is overall more gold. This is two coats with topcoat (after two days wear!)

You can buy this online at Picture Polish's Australian website for AUS $12 or on Llarowe for $14.50. What do you think? Are you digging 910 as much as I am?
