Cult Nails Divas & Drama Collection

Heeeyyy friends! I have a treat for you today, here is the new collection from Cult Nails, Divas and Drama! This collection features four awesome polishes by Maria with inspiration clues from her friends. I hope you like these as much as I do! Before the picture is a description from Maria of Cult Nails and after is my take on the shade.
Enticing - a very sheer pale milky pink. It is delicate in color but buildable to an almost opaque finish. This polish has been one of the top rated polishes my friends have been asking me to make. After hearing it repeatedly, I broke down. One friend in particular pointed out to me that it is the only color she wears and I would have to make one for her.
I really can't believe how much I like this pink. It might at first glance seem ordinary, but it's really fab. The sheerness is easy to make less so, in three coats. It's soooo shiny and delicate, the quintessential classy lady polish. It was a little thin so I had to make sure it didn't flood my cuticles, but other than that it was a dream.

Scandalous - It is a pastel coral jelly polish. This is buildable to almost opaqueness in 2 - 3 coats. Jelly polishes by nature are sheer but buildable. This polish was requested by a cultie and former blogger Scandalous Ange on Twitter one night. Thanks to the power of the internet, live on Twitter we each mixed and compared and worked repeatedly to make this polish everything she wanted it to be. I love being able to bring people the colors they want.
I absolutely ADORE this polish, almost as much as I love Ange, whom this polish was created for/partially-by. Coral polish is my heart, and jellies are my soul, so how could I NOT fall head over heels for this baby! I just literally freaking LOVE THIS POLISH!! This is three coats but you could do two to make it more transparent. Seriously, buy this NOW!!!

Manipulative - This is an opaque pale blue with a hint of green creme polish with a subtle shimmer that comes out in the sunlight. Last summer we went away for the weekend with our family and some friends. We went to a local beach and the water was this amazing milky blue color that kept showing hints of green. When the sun would hit the water just right, this amazing shimmer throughout the water was noticeable. I must have taken a hundred photos of the water and as soon as we returned home, I set out to replicate it in polish.
I thought this was a mint green polish when I was looking at it in the bottle, but realized uh no it's blue! Beautiful sky, baby blue with subtle sparkle. This is a beautiful polish and the formula is fab. This is two coats.

Seduction - A sheer purple/red jelly top coat polish loaded with red and blue multichromatic flakes. When I created Clairvoyant a friend asked if I could make her a version that was purple, red and blue. I set to work on it right away and came up with Seduction, the cousin to the now sold out Clairvoyant. This shade is limited edition as the ingredients used to make this polish are no longer available as a U.S. made commodity.
This is the polish on it's own, even though it's most likely supposed to be a top coat. I actually like it on it's own, it's very fun and deep looking. I'll have to do a comparison with Maria's first flaky polish Clairvoyant. It is very sheer on it's own so this is four coats.

Here is Seduction layered over Misa's A Sin Worth Committing, a shimmery navy blue polish. I really like how this combo turned out, bright shimmering beautiful! The flakes really pop on the blue background. This is two coats on one of ASWC.

You can get these right now at http://shop.cultnails.com/ for $10 each. RUN don't walk over there ladies!

Best Top Coat of All Time: Cult Nails Wicked Fast

Yeah, I went there. I finally am declaring once and for all the best top coat that I have ever used. Wicked Fast by Cult Nails is pretty unbelievable. I've been searching and failing to find a top coat that works the way I want it to. Here are my expectations for a perfect top coat: dry really flippin' fast, shiny as glass if you please, no freaking tip pull or cuticle pooling, NO BUBBLES, does not thicken up like syrup, does not smell like toxic waste, smooths glitter polishes, doesn't cost a million dollars, and is easy to buy. Wicked Fast satisfies ALL these requirements.

It dries almost as fast as Seche Vite, up until now my HG in terms of drying time, but we're talking like 30 seconds difference maybe. It is as shiny as my favorite shiny top coat, Revlon Quick Dry. I have not had tip pull at all since I started using it. It is a thinner texture than most top coats but not so thin that it pools. It has stayed the same viscosity since the day I opened it, no thickening. It smells like nail polish, not better but not worse. It is thick enough to cover glitter polishes well, meaning I only need one coat of it over chunky glitters. I have never had it bubble on me, despite polishing in a warm place, cold place, and in a room with lots of fans (which are all factors that can create bubbles in my polish). And it is easily available online for $8. AND it is free of the Big 3 Chemicals that suck and free of camphor too (oops!). DAMN. I am not playing, friends, if you have not tried this, do it NOW.

Thank you to Maria for creating this amazing product, I am literally in awe of Wicked Fast!

Cult Nails 'Hypnotic' Collection: Sneak Peek!

The Hypnotic collection is available for pre-sale until July 31 at http://shop.cultnails.com.
I am way excited for these new colors from my girl Maria! She is a wizard at polish dreaming and I am just dying for In a Trance. I am not totally on board with Hypnotize Me, though it seems to be the most anticipated shade from most of the comments on her blog post where she swatches them for us as a preview (HERE). I get to meet Maria, the owner of Cult Nails, at CosmoProf North America in Las Vegas at the beginning of August and I am super stoked, she is such a sweetheart!

Cult Nails My Kind of Cool Aid - Take Two

This is my second blog post about this polish, my first post had horrendous photos of this beautiful polish, so I'm calling a do-over.

Cult Nails My Kind of Cool Aid is a lavender grey creamy polish with subtle shimmer. I adore this shade, it's pretty unique although a little similar to Rescue Beauty Lounge's Insouciant that came out early this year. It's opaque and perfect in two coats.

I decided to put a coat of Sally Hansen's Hidden Treasure over it and it was AWESOME. Love this combo! The lamp light turns the purple more vivid than the shots above, haha.

I love Cult Nails, the owner is Maria from R3Daily in case you are new to the scene. She is a good friend and I finally get to meet her this year at CosmoProf in Las Vegas! Can't wait :) Her and a bunch of other blogging friends and I are all getting together to nosh and gab sometime during the week of the convention. Super excited and can't wait!

Cult Nails Quench

Cult Nails is owned and operated by my friend Maria :) Her little company is up and running and turning into a fantastic business already which is impressive. The fourth color she has created is called Quench, a blood red jelly polish. She says the name comes from her love of the show True Blood haha. I've personally never seen it, but I enjoy a vampire reference every now and then. This polish is not unique, of course, but every great nail polish collection needs a great red and this is a great polish. Very shiny and smooth. This is two coats.

Cult Nails Living Water

This is the second lacquer in the Cult Nails family of color. Maria had a contest to create a color and this was the winner, inspired by her reader Tierny. Living Water is a deep blue jelly polish with green glitter inspired by the phosphorescent sea-water. This is two coats.
You can get Cult Nails at www.cultnails.com for $10 each. I love Maria and her polish!

Cult Nails My Kind of Cool Aid

My lovely friend Maria from R3Daily has recently realized her dreams and started her own nail polish company. It's pretty amazing, I am so happy for her! It's off to a fabulous start, with three lacquers up to order, another on the way, and a topcoat soon to launch. I jumped at the chance to buy them the second I could and here is the first one. Maria's baby girl, My Kind of Cool Aid.

This girl is a dusty gray lavender (gravender!) with a misty turquoise shimmer running through it. The formula is superb, one of the absolute BEST I've ever tried. And of course, I'm not just saying that. I'm honest as all hell and would never jeopardize my reputation with false claims, and girls I'm telling you that this is some BAD ASS polish. Amazingly perfect in two coats. Great coverage and pigment and so easy to apply. It's actually quite shiny w/o a topcoat too which is always nice, though I always wear one haha. The bottle design isn't my favorite but a lot of folks like this shape so that's good I suppose. I love her cute font for the label though!
You can purchase MKOCA on www.cultnails.com and you can pre-order the other colors she has coming soon. Maria shipped this to me UBER fast, with recycled packaging--magazine paper and cotton balls! Green and useful :) All her polishes are "big-3" free and vegan. I find it easy to spend $10 on a polish from a small business brand rather than a big name brand, what do you think? Especially if you know the person running the business is a perfectionist!
UPDATE: Maria is doing a promotion at the moment for the first 50 folks who purchase three of her polishes, they get the fourth color free! Awesome right?! Well, rumor has it there's only 10 spots left out of the 50 so hurry if you want to be one of the lucky ones. The new colors, Iconic, Living Water, and Quench are expected to ship this weekend so I'm really excited!
P.S. Sorry for the quality of these photos, I left my camera in my brother's truck while was he was visiting so it's stuck in Nevada :( I should have it back soon!
