OPI - Movin' Out over Diva of Geneva
Hi everyone :) Hope your Tuesday is going well. Today I would like to show you a layering combo of OPI polishes that is ridiculously beautiful. Movin' Out is a discontinued lacquer from the Holiday on Broadway collection which came out in 2003. It is very sheer, it is a pink fuchsia color with a multichrome flash that turns green, gold, and purpley. There are also tiny microglitter pieces that glow like pink embers. I imagine that this is as close to Clarins 230 that I'll ever get, I've heard this has the same shimmer as it and it was much cheaper. I got my bottle from Victoria's Nail Supply for less than $10, and there are plenty on Ebay I'm sure. This is two coats of Diva of Geneva, from the Swiss collection of 2010, a red based purple shimmer. It has to be in my top 10 OPI polishes ever, it's so beautiful. Adding Movin' Out was basically putting a cherry on top of a sundae, because it just upped the hawtness by 100%. I couldn't keep my eyes off this while I was wearing it, it color shifted beautifully.

opi swiss collection part 2
hey kids! here comes the second round of polishes from the OPI Swiss Collection for 2010. if you missed part one, click here :)
from A to Z-urich is probably my favorite out of the "reds" from this bunch. a lovely ruby color that conveys warmth without any brown tones, unlike the others in this collection. this type of red is very flattering to many different shades of skin color so that is a plus. this is a two coat wonder and i love it.
this shimmery fellow is called cuckoo for this color. i laughed out loud when i read the name for the first time, no joke. idk why it struck me as so amusing haha. it is a cool blue tinged almost racing green color that has the illusion of long strips of shiny silver shimmer running through it. i have to say, it looks extremely similar to china glaze's emerald fitzgerald, and unfortunately i didn't care too much for that one and i don't for this one either. but hey, i'm sure it would be gorgeous on some folks!
now here is a shimmer that i la la loved! yodel me on my cell is seriously to die for in real life, and these pictures unfortunately do it no justice. sexy, flashy, and just the right shade of aqua blue = love for me! it has a hint of green in it too, which is always good. this is a three coater.
the color to watch is a good name for this polish, because you definitely have to keep your eye on her! i swear this baby is a chameleon. the sheerish purple lilac shimmer sometimes has a strong blue flash, sometimes looks almost smokey, and then sometimes looks straight up blingy! very festive and will keep you guessing :) another three coater here.
in my opinion, any collection is incomplete without some hint of gold, so glitzerland sealed the deal for me on declaring the opi swiss collection a success haha :) it's a very cool toned gold, with silver sparkles, rather than gold on gold, which was a nice change of pace. it's the same texture as lucerne-tainly look marvelous, foil-like but also glitter-esque in texture. complex and stunning. two coats!
and last we have my dahling gorgeous ski teal we drop! i think this polish is seriously ga ga gorgeous! i might even like it more than suzi says feng shui, which is my current favorite opi blue creme, but the jury is still out. i can't think of a color that comes close to this grayish blue babe, and even if i could, i doubt it would have such an amazingly opaque finish in two coats. this was ALMOST a one-coater people! that is a big deal for me haha. sexy, simple, and chic. loves!
what are your picks from this collection? do you have any of them yet? if not, are you planning to get some or are you not digging these colors? let me hear ya folks :D i love ya and thanks for stopping by!

opi swiss collection part 1
"Beyond the borders of a classic neutral palette into a new zone where refined shades of rich color become the definitive go-to hues to wear every day." - OPI
the opi swiss collection is full of shimmers, glitter-foils, and (my favorites) cremes. i can pick out about three that are must-have's, most of them are nice-to-have's and maybe only two that i would skip. but they all have excellent formulas, and are almost all two coaters. wow. color me impressed!
top: ski teal we drop, glitzerland, cuckoo for this color, yodel me on my cell, the color to watch, lucerne-tainly look marvelous. bottom: just a little rösti at this, diva of geneva, william tell me about opi, from a to zurich, i'm suzi & i'm a chocoholic, color so hot it berns.
diva of geneva is a gorgeous shimmer that is a mix between plum purple, pink and red. the shimmer in it makes it seem like a duochrome almost, which is pretty awesome. this is definitely one of the best colors out of the bunch in my humble opinion.

lucerne-tainely look marvelous is another one of my fav's from this collection. it is a gorgeous charcoal silver foil glitter that covers sufficiently in two coats. fab! it also has a bit of a green tinge to it too, which i didn't notice until i started cropping these photos, but yup, it's there! this is pretty close to jitterbug by china glaze, but i like this one a tiny bit better, not sure why haha.

william tell me about opi was a color i thought i would love but it ended up just being ok for me. very dark purple, but not the same as lincoln park after dark. LPAD is soooo dark it's almost black, but william is obviously purple. sexy and opaque in two coats, which is super nice, and less finicky than LPAD haha. this one is also uber shiny, all these swatches are w/o a topcoat and they all shone like glass!
