it is hard for me to care (i.e. listen to people jabber) about trivial things like award show speeches, who's who on reality tv shows like "jersey shore", who's gotten what new plastic surgery done, and even things i love like nail polish when we see such devastating events such as the monumental heartache and pain going on in countries like Haiti right now. i would love to drop everything and run down and help but sadly mine as well as many others' lives cannot work that way. it's times like this when we all need to do our part. pitch in every little way that YOU can. in ways that matter to YOU.

opi merry midnight

merry midnight is one of the two flakey polishes that OPI put out this past holiday season. it is definitely one of my favorite polishes. it has a reddish magenta purple jelly base with lots of flakey sheets of glitter. ga-ga-gorgeous!

fingerpaints holiday 09

ave two of the fingerpaints holiday polishes from 2009, evergreen dream and icy iris. i won evergreen dream from the beautiful karrie leigh from beautopia, and i had picked up icy iris when the collection first came out.

evergreen dream is a stunning dark green shimmer. it is not a dupe for emerald sparkle, as that is a jelly with glitter and evergreen is pure shimmer with micro-glitter pieces of a lighter green that shines slightly silver in the light. this picture is brighter than it is in most lights.

icy iris was definitely not one to pass up for me, i fell head over heels for this dark purple. the shimmer is different colors of glittery goodness that sparkle sparkle sparkle.
